My board has arrived - vdroop is covered, vcore soon. Will try and get pics up later today.

ISL6334 PWM controller

Vdroop - between pins 14 and 15 I measured it to be around 18.8Kohm so I'd recommend starting with a 100Kohm variable resistor.

Vcore - you could go down the usual variable resistor between FB pin and ground but this controller does have other voltage offset capabilities. I have found that the OFS pin has been tied to ground via a resistor. If this resistor was replaced with a variable resistor and the resistance increased you can increase the output voltage. Decreasing Rref did not seen to affect output voltage.

The Vcore-mod is not really necessary tbh. I run up to 2.04V on the board and it can do higher than that. Vcore might be interesting if you want to fine tune the voltage, because the 0.05V steps in the BIOS are kind of huge.

I45 Vdroop mod by me - work in progress as I still haven't found the time to do the mod. My measurements were off as the traces are so small actual resistance is more like 2.2Kohm so a 20Kohm variable resistor will suffice.

will this vdroop mod work for the tp45hp board to? at idle my vcore is at 1.456 and loaded it goes down to 1.42x vcore. i would like to have stable vcore so i dont have to have it so high to be stable. ill keep lookin to see if its the same.

makaka, which? Here is Vdroop posted allready and should work. Just measure the resistance to be sure.

How does actually these VIDs work? Is it really OK to ground them without any resistor?

What would be Your first choice for Vcore mod? "Regular" FB->VR->GND or this OFS moding?

For Vdroop I also measured 2,19kohm resistance. I'll do the mod as soon as I have measured the real voltages and drops with DMM...

I measured real Vcore with DMM and here are results:



As You can see, Vdroop rises badly in higher Vcore. So when You want to squeeze max MHz in sub-zero cooling, Vdroop mod is a must
And as someone mentioned here before, Vcore mod is also recommended for fine tuning.

I tuned it so, that it overvolts 0,001V at load. Also it rised "def" Vcore about ~0,003V. I used 20k VR, but according to readings it was tuned to ~4570ohm, so 10k VR should do also
Tho, it may vary on what CPU you are using and Vcore...

would this be the same as the tp45hp tforce board? i really need it mine droops from 1.456 idle to 1.40 to 1.41 under load.

ok Pencil mod 3 posts up works. I could not get it to measure 500 ohms but measure 1.687kohms but I penciled it to 1.5kohms and now no more vdroop it stays right on exact set voltage in bios or overvolts a tad
