yep thats next if i cant find this new bios... just want to see for myself how good/loud the stock fan is at its propper settings...
heres a quick bench for ya...
surface deformer....
hit over 303fps, 3870 crossfire would hit 289fps max... 2900 crossfire would hit 292fps max highly overclocked...
crossfire doesnt seem to have any effect on the score, though i had it enabled on all 3 sets of cards anyway....
redid the test with an extra 50mhz on the memory and reached over 310fps with a result of 17483.... 17502 @790core 1100mem

right just took a few pics of GRID.
i changed the screen shot button to f12 forgetting it changed the overlay displays position
so the fps are in differant corners... lol i thought 'where's the fackin counter gone....'
i made sure there were plenty of cars around me as possible....70-79fps on grid with crossfire....@1680-1050 all settings max

order an aftermarket cooler aswell... my cards are getting too hot with this bios... the display driver stops responding and recovers or crashes the whole pc....
its not good man....
New BIOS? To keep the fan from spinning too slowly at idle, or to fix a PowerPlay issue?
- i7 920 D0 // eVGA X58 SLI // 12GB G.Skill Ripjaws // HD6950 (6970 BIOS)
- Apogee XT // MCP655 // Thermochill PA120.3 // CM HAF 932
- OCZ Vertex 3 MI edition // ASUS Xonar DX // Corsair TX850
- HTC Incredible - Uber Kingdom Revolution ROM
both m8, power play has the core at 500mhz, it should be lower. the memory is at 1000mhz... the fan is doing absolutely nothing to cool the card....... its very bad....
some alone in the dark pics with fraps... i think its locked at 60fps...
never drops below 30 with everything set to maximum...light draw distance ect...

i do as matter of fact, well an old north bridge heatsink... still brand new with the sticky thermal pad....
i'm only playing it to get my moneys worth... lol gives me a right headache.... i've got to find these trees and set fire to em in central park and no clue as to which direction to go, only to search for a minimum of 30 of em... hate it....
i'm running a single 4870 until my second card arrives tomorrow. i run GRID at max settings @ 1680x1050 and average mid-90's fps. you might have to rename the game's executable to afr-friendlyd3d.exe if it doesn't have a CF profile yet. you also have to make sure you patch the game to 1.1 so the flicker goes away. not that you need CF in that game, but your framerate is lower than mine with a single card.
