Without antialiasing, the Radeon HD 4850 cap the GeForce 9800 GTX the post. With antialiasing, it goes through against the front, with an advance of 18%. . It also exceeds the Radeon HD 3870 X2, which often has difficulty with this filter.
Note that for the part antialiasing (only) the results obtained under Bioshock and STALKER are not taken into account, the Radeon does not support this filter in these games

These appear to be results that are more comparative to JimmyZ's results.

I'm liking these better than the ones seen on OverclockZone.

Hopefully cause them to drop prices and give Intel an SLI license.

Except here (except 4xaa vs 9800GTX):

http://www.hardware.fr/medias/photos...IMG0023558.gif

Here with no AA (although AA performance is great)

And here:

http://www.hardware.fr/medias/photos...IMG0023564.gif

Here it equals a 9800GTX:

Anyway, pretty damn good card, I specially like 4xAA doesn't take that impact at all, and hope new drivers can even improve farther it's performance.

I will be definitely aiming at an HD4870 1GB

Are we there yet?

ok now i finally believe that the hd4870 is going to be on par with the gtx260 and the 4870 to beat the gtx280

sooo hard, at first i wanted to keep my 3870s, but these results are soooo tempting

most impressive thing is that the card beats the 8800/9800 in almost all games, and performance is much more consistent than with the 3870 (maybe due to the additional TMUs)

why dose intel want that, NV needs an xfire consortium license, they already can use the open standards its just a matter of the drivers blocking it

i wish that there was some gddr4 or some higher clocking CCC for the ram

If the HD4870 kills the GTX260 and GTX280 then I might forgo step up to a 260 and just buy an HD4870... Nvidia might be in serious trouble.

This will make me reply Bioshock again, but this time on 4850:

Adobe is working on Flash Player support for 64-bit platforms as part of our ongoing commitment to the cross-platform compatibility of Flash Player. We expect to provide native support for 64-bit platforms in an upcoming release of Flash Player following the release of Flash Player 10.1.

CF/Single HD4850 Review/Preview - HWzone Israel

Hey guys.

Take a look:

http://hwzone.co.il/reviews/4850_preview/

We've just published an official Sneak Preview/Review of 2 HD4850 cards we are testing. We will update the results further in the following days, but we have perliminary official results now.

Our test machine is very much like the VR-Zone test bed for the GTX 280 review. It seems that in low res/no filters mode, 2 4850CF cards are somewhat stronger than the GTX 280, but they are still weaker when using 16x/8x filters.

In crysis the results are much worse, probably because the cards don't gain much performence in CF mode.

The results are pretty impressive none the less, for both single card usage and CF usage(it's 8x/8x by the way. motherboard's limitation)
HWzone Team - Israel.
