    Exclamation G.Skill DDR3-1600 CL7 GBHZ - broke 13.1K in EVEREST read....!!!

Looked around here but didn't find too much about this RAM.

For me the best sticks I ever owned - CAS 7, tRFC 60 & 1T is no problem even above 950Mhz speed in dual channel, this shot is done with 1.94 Vdimm(BIOS):

And they're much cheaper than many other brands................

So what's Your experience with it?

Keep pushing it... If the IC's are GTR on them (easy to remove and remount heatspreader, no danger in doing so as they use some thin thermaltape)
Then you can get 15GB/s without much trouble

I'll go for 16.5GB/s later this week

    Nice run!

I can't wait to see what my 2x2GB kit can do!

My benching has been put on hold until I get some D5 brackets, CPU is getting far too hot under air cooling for how I am pushing my benches.

Didn't remove the spreader yet, but according to the Vdimm I guess it's D9JNL.

Just receaved mine from MemoryC.Com and they are 8AB12 D9GTS

58ZR is the number on the side of the first BGA chip.
the other 7 have 5HG5 on them

Ahhh both of them are 8AB12 D9GTS and I got them for around 140 Euro while they cost about 350 Euro here in Denmark

EDIT: Heres a link if anybody wants some
    http://www.memoryc.com/computermemor...0hzseries.html

I was told they where changing to D9JNL and and expected it because of the price. Now Im happy though

In advance, sorry for spelling and grama mistakes, its 3:18 AM, I've just had "dinner", and Im tired as hell!

Eventhough Im on vaccation, I had to check up on matters last morning...
The PC12800 HZ series are made with GTS atm, 2 and 4GB kit.

Please guy; no its not possible to know which IC is being used on G.Skill...

As for the thermal paste... 2GB is single sided, thats why its a bit harder to get one side off, but why doing so, what is there to gain...
Unless you apply pressure on top of ram (such as DICE cooling etc.) you can simply open the heatspreader by removing the two clips and one side will almost fall off..

Nope, this is what they are talking about. When I bought it from the egg like a month ago, it was like $249. It did 1800 7-7-7-18 with 1.90 no sweat. I am waiting for the 4870 results to come out so that I can decide going blackops or dreadnought.

if there are cheaper and more expesive ones, then the cheaper ones are most likely jnl and the more expensive ones gts, easy as that
id go for jnl as i dont mind having trp and trcd 1 clock higher than with gtr/gts, its not worth the extra money imo... plus from what ive seen gskill seems to bin their jnl kits really well, they all seem to hit 1850 cas7 easily.
