3DMark Vantage attack with watercooled Skulltrail

    Hi,

I just finished teasing Skulltrail setup with watercooling and managed to run 3DMark Vantage Entry and Performance presets @ 4,311 GHz (10,5 x 410 MHz, 1,5375 V). GeForce 9800 GX2 Quad SLI was overclocked to moderate 750/1890/1155 MHz. This was enough to overtake Fugger's Skulltrail setup in both presets

    Entry: E52267 (2nd place)

    and

    Performance: P20655 (10th place)

Next week Radeon HD 4800 and GeForce GTX 200 action

Skulltrail is best for Entry preset and works ok in Performance because in those tests CPU weight is 0,25 (0,15 in high and 0,05 in extreme):

Skulltrail @ 5 GHz with DI should be well over E55k and close to E60k when +5,5 GHz with LN2.

    Nice going Sampsa!

    What about the Extreme preset?

This should be interesting, will you be playing with CF/SLI or single card?

Didn't gain much compared to QX9770 @ 5,2 GHz so I didn't bother spending time on them + after next week GeForce 9800 GX2 is out of business atleast in these presets

Next week hopefully 2 or 3-Way SLI and I guess I have to wait couple more weeks to get my hands on R700 CrossFireX

(edit: 3-way sli with nf790i ultra sli board of course not with skulltrail)

Nice setup. How did you manage to get 410 fsb? ... I tried everywhere to find a way to increase the fsb in the bios (including installing the latest bios with 1/2 multiplier) but I can't seem to be able to find options to activate the fsb changing options. There seems to be only options to manually change the SPD timings.

What was high end ten years ago... is barely usable, if usable, today. It will be for the high end systems of today.

Surprise top spot in 3DMark Vantage Entry preset with E53468 points

Me and SF3D played around with Skulltrail @ 4,6 GHz:

(Unfortunately I don't have the system anymore so no better scores coming)
