Don't know if anyone's seen this,
http://www.fudzilla.com/index.php?op...=7868&Itemid=1

Guess that's the new benchmark to reach, just in time for the SB750.

Edit- Seems its in the large thread about oc'ing, if you wanna delete this go for it.

790fx with sb600 is the main problem I think.
Thats the only reason to get unlocked mutil's.
plenty of 780A boards have no problems with B2 & B3
AMD needed new boards but it seemed like Nvida was kissing intel's ass all year long.

I would love to see a Daul cpu boardcome out with sb750 & 4 16x Pci express @ 2.0/3.0 slots with dual card spacing
I'd take a 790A wliek that too.

bye the way did anyone notice that the MSI K9N2 Diamond AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 780a SLI ATX says it has 3 x PCI Express 3.0 x16 slots
maybe the 280GTXZ has a surprise switch in it lol

We need more options in the four-slot category. Trifire + RAID controller takes up all my slots on the K9A2. Ideally, we'd have >= 5 PCIe 2.0 x8+ slots on a normal board.

Particle's First Rule of Online Technical Discussion:
As a thread about any computer related subject has its length approach infinity, the likelihood and inevitability of a poorly constructed AMD vs. Intel fight also exponentially increases.

Rule 1A:
Likewise, the frequency of a car pseudoanalogy to explain a technical concept increases with thread length. This will make many people chuckle, as computer people are rarely knowledgeable about vehicular mechanics.

Rule 2:
When confronted with a post that is contrary to what a poster likes, believes, or most often wants to be correct, the poster will pick out only minor details that are largely irrelevant in an attempt to shut out the conflicting idea. The core of the post will be left alone since it isn't easy to contradict what the person is actually saying.

Rule 2A:
When a poster cannot properly refute a post they do not like (as described above), the poster will most likely invent fictitious counter-points and/or begin to attack the other's credibility in feeble ways that are dramatic but irrelevant. Do not underestimate this tactic, as in the online world this will sway many observers. Do not forget: Correctness is decided only by what is said last, the most loudly, or with greatest repetition.

Remember: When debating online, everyone else is ALWAYS wrong if they do not agree with you!

Why not standardize 16x and allow you to select the running speed per slot, from 1x to 16x? (limited to whatever the board and chipset can handle of course).

If you change to ganged that should get you in the 20's for 1m and I'm not sure how much faster in 32m. Unganged is for stuff like wPrime and multithreaded apps, single threaded is much better benched in ganged.
