Ok, i have Gainward 8800GS, and the PCB is 100% identical with your Palit.
I made the vmod, i will post later.

I measure the vGPU from the back of PCB, the marked place, and i`m using for ground the PCI-E ground ( black cable ).

-can you tell me if there is any pencil mod ?
-any vdimm mod ?
-can you show me some other ground points...(I'm really noob in soldering)
