Asus 790i + 8800GTS SLI ~ all on subzero ~ Bench weekend by OCTeamHungary

    hi everybody,
finally OCTeamHungary got the chance to bench all vga cards on some subzero with new pots from poland (thanks ryba )
at the weekend over@locker886 and myself was playing with some toys (jugeen has got sick so couldn't come ):

    Asus Striker 2 NSE
    DFI P35 LP UT T2R
    Core 2 E8400 Q746A
    Core 2 E8500 Q745A
    2GB Crucial DDR3 1600
    2GB Crucial DDR2 1066
    2 * BFG 8800GTS OC 512
    + pots and dryice

so short story... we started on saturday with the SLI tests on the NSE with E8400, cards, insulation, ect, and everything goes fine, dice to the all 3 pots, temp goes down, but we couldn't made any results with the 3DMark 01, don't know why, nature was frozen on every tests, on stock clocks too, maybe some windows or fsb stability issue (it was really hard to make higher fsb 3d stable), or bios, we need to figure out it later, so we could bench only 05 at pretty low clocks on the E8400...

    highest fsb boot on 790i ~ 608mhz

    DI for everything

and the best 05 run - i know this is nothing compared to ATI CFX runs, we made more on 3870X2's last time, but this was much MORE fun

and some single card actions on my DFI

so, after this experience, i didn't got lazy yesterday tryd the SLI again, but this time with E8500, and vga's with stock cooler - and bloody hell everything was fine no 01 issue

and the most important! no MIPMAP cheat/tweak on this results

and some max clock & Pi runs at the end with the E8500 on the DFI

    ~5600MHz @ 1.78v validation

so thanks for viewing, i hope i could get an ln2 dewar soon, and finally could bench not every time on DI and so rarely ln2

Yes, crucial ddr3 will be stupid and can't run CL7. When I tested sli system on air last week, rams was full 7-6-5-18 1T stable. Now, not
