    [Team.AU] 3DMark Single Card Damage (3D'03 WR?)

My second session with 9800GX2 on LN2, and im pretty happy in general with my first set of full 3D suite results.
GPU clocks vs OCP was a constant battle, with '06 able to do significantly higher clocks than the rest at the same temp and volts.
Spent a long time trying to get '05 Firefly to pass, only to find Canyon tripping it worse.
In '03 it was Nature being difficult.
In '01 i was suprised by DL, while the rest could run at much higher clocks.
As usual Firefly '06 was the OCP tripping test.

With only 30L LN2 i wanted to get the full set of tests covered, so none are particularly optimised (definately not '01 heh).

    System
    Intel QX9770 on LN2 (Astra pot) @ -140C to -165C
Gigabyte GA-X48T-DQ6 (F4 Bios) with Vcore mod
    Gigabyte 9800GX2 on LN2 (XFX Bios, Tek9 4.0) with VGPU/VMem/Cap mods
    Patriot 1866MHz DDR3 @ 2.25V
    Western Digital WD5000AAKS SATA
Windows XP SP2 general benching install
    NVidia 174.88 Driver

    3DMark'06 - 29661

    3DMark'05 - 36544

    3DMark'03 - 93726

    3DMark'01 - 107419

    Very nice T_M

The 01 problem is the driver. Either you have to run CH first with the driver you use, or use 173.67 driver, and run it in normal order

Also..did you use LOD for nature? if not, it looks like the cold hit it, and dropped the FPS. should be 1500+ fps sometime the coldbug comes for a milisecond, and its hard to notice, but drops the fps by a lot.

    Tim, where's AquaMark 3 ?
Nice scores, apart from 3Dm2001se, but like you said you didn't have the time to tweak them properly.

    Anybody tried 174.93 with 3Dm2001 ?

Nice work man! Congrats on the 03WR! I am also curious about AM3 did you run that one?

Edit: And VERY nice insulating job. Any particular kind of tape you used?

Nice Tim OMG, that 3D 03 run is literally breathtaking ... Yeah, if I recall well ... there is no greater score in single 03 ! Must be a WR

Everything's great ! You used only 30 liters of LN2, and benched the whole suite (well apart from the new Vantage, but a bird told me some things about it that made me kind of sad ), using a VGA that has a really, really annoying OCP problem ...

The only thing that I don't like, is 3D 01 ... But 174.xx are bugged drivers ---> low Nature and low CH ... Using 173.67 and the correct LoD settings could easily get you > 111k

Awaiting for more thrilling results !

Thanks guys, yeah '01 has never going to be good (and never has been for me) and here is how that particular run went (which was the first completed run after failing DL a few times):

    5L-8L remaining
    LOD 3.9
    CPU - 5600
    GPU - 930 / 1124
    N-CH-DL-DH-LL-LH-CL x 3
    Submit 106k score
    CPU - 5660
    GPU - 980 / 1154
    Rerun N-CL-CH-LL-LH
    Submit 107k score

Wow, 97k '03 from sham is going to be hard to beat without OCP mod or coldbud BIOS.....

This is my last LN2 run for a couple weeks so I might pull apart the card and do some '01 tests on air

I did run AM3 but it started doing that annoying crashing after explosion before score thing.
Getting sick of it happening so i just moved on.

Shame on you for that crappy 01, though

Great runs, but I hate to be a killjoy. You're still about 400 points short of the 3DMark 03 record. linky

@ begrip, i never blamed the driver. Im the first to admit that '01 is my weakest bench.
