    E2140 G0 stepping = neutered conroe?

I know the E2140's are not supposed to have G0 stepping, but check this out......

Unfortunately I hit FSB wall around 440, missing out on the 2GHz overclock.

spec number is SLALS, which is not even recognized on intel's own website.
    batch L719B.

On closer inspection the caps on the underside of the chip are set out the
same way as a G0 conroe instead of an allendale, so I think these are just
    neutered conroes.

That's a nice OC mate mine was stuck at 410FSB but I was already happy with the 100% OC... too bad they didn't leave extra cache too
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved

Remark : They call me Pro Asus Saaya yupp, I agree

G0 efficiency is improved- Clock per clock you should get better numbers than the M0?

Where did you get the chip? My own E2140 does 437 under water so not much of an difference, but every little helps

@Teh neutered core part, yeah it pretty much is...
Intel for some reason changed the name of all the lower end Conroes to "Pentium Dual Core", not to be confused with the heatsink-melting Prescotts.
    Really retarded imo.
If you get an E2180, it will also show up as a "Pentium Dual Core".

stock vcore (1.264v) 3.6GHz Super Pi 1M passed

changed to crucial 10th anny later on,
3720MHz achieved. Super Pi 1M again.
Sorry no 32M or orthos yet,
