    Talking Big Mama LN2 Dewar arrival party E6850 + Gigabyte X38 + Corsair PC10K = 5.35Ghz 2D/3D

    hi guys

    TEAM.AU Strikes again!

i bought a s/h dewar and thought i'd give it a crack yesterday. The plan was to bench XFX 780i with tripple 8800GTX in tri-sli with QX9650 but things went bad after changing from water to LN2. After struggling with the setup for half hour on LN2 it stopped working.......after some hair dryer action etc all parts tested ok but it was time for Josh (moloko) to go and so did all the nice goodies

well that wasn't going to stop me having some fun with some of my gear so i chucked together my favourite setup and went for it quickly

Can't help myself and i have to say this would be a fitting soundtrack if i had time for the youtube video edit FINAL COUNTDOWN hahaha <<loves that song and solo>>

    Test Configuration:
    Gigabyte X38-DQ6 DDR2 Motherboard (F3 bios)
    Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 720Axxx
    2GB DDR2 Corsair Dominators PC10000
Single 8800GT PCIe 2.0 512MB Graphics Card (Stock cooler)
    Corsair HX620 Power Supply
Kingpin Dragon Evo 2.4 Superpot ... soon to meet younger bro F1 Extreme that santa is delivering
Big Mama 35L MVE LN2 Dewar
    80GB Samsung SATA Hard Drive
    Windows XP Pro 32bit

I was limited to 1.79v idle and 1.76-1.77v under load in vcore due to OVP on the mobo....gotta remove that lol but i maxed out the FSB on the chip anyways

i benched the GFX at only 700MHz core and 922-999 on RAM

    BIG MAMA in the house

Did a quick 8M SuperPi (don't mind the time)

3DMARK03 run at 5.3GHz on YOUTUBE
this was the first run no tweaks and bad strap on RAM plus really loose subtimings
also auto gfx settings so result is not what i was going for
plan was to see if i can make it run 3D that high in such a short period

3DMARK05 = 27,090 points (had to submit direct but Futuremark is down atm)

    AQUAMARK 3

3DMARK01 (87K pretty decent considering the GPU clocks)

    1M SuperPi 9.531s @5345MHz

    32M SuperPi 9m 33.061s @5350MHz

first i ran down Pro's E6850 32M time on dry ice and now you go and post this. do you think the the cross-hairs are not going to find you? i'm coming for ya Dinos...me and my dry ice are coming

awesome work and a very nice looking dewar. not in appearance of course but in capacity . those waterworks shots of the board are priceless, your going to have to start benching in a tub to keep the mess to a minimum...keep up the good work man

hehe, i see your P5E3-Dlx and raise you an Asus Maximus Extreme and a kit of TWIN3X2048-1800C7DFIN, and lets not forget about the Ballistix which have already proven their worth on P35. looks like we have the makings for one heavyweight 32M bout...ding ding

Awesome stuff Dinos, just the thread to kick me in the backside to get moving with my monster benching marathon Might try a E6850 in my Gigabyte X38-DQ6 to see if it can boot up properly - hope my X38-DQ6 isn't down for the count still heh

What's the full batch details on E6850 again L720A??? ?

what did the wife think of the dewar purchase ?

    Shame about triple-SLI issues

This Dewar not for long storage of liquid nitrogen. This Dewar need for transportation of sperm of animals! Therefore at it such thick aperture and capacity for immersing in nitrogen

    hahah thanks guys

nordling i bought it from a veterinary hospital (sperm dewar) w00t

i have the board coated in LET (Liquid Electrical Tape) two coats and in Sydney it gets toasty being summer and all lol but i've never killed a board (fingers crossed)

    eva it's 745

oh btw this chip WAS maxed out

i also benched with 6 multi and no gain in FSB at all...same as 9x so more vcore would not gain me anything

i do have another chip coming in january which should easily bench way past 600 on LN2
    that should be very interesting

Looks really good and cool video while running + some cool pics.

Like Marc says, there is alot of water there, but good you use LET.

Keep pushing it, looking forward to your 600fsb gem.

i just realised i had maxmem for all the 3d runs
no good....that will also give a boost in numbers
but no point benching on stock air

i think i might buy some ATI cards as they seem fun to bench with and you can use the heatsink and stick a watercooler on it which is swell

I have no problems reading the thread in a small window. you just need to get a bigger monitor.

That's awesome. I've never even tried leaving it for that long but I've always meant to. Well over a week of nearly perfect hold time sounds great.
