Asus P5N-T Deluxe (nForce 780i SLI) full review ...
Here is first full review of this mobo ... ive tested with Yorkfield ...
Some photos:
Tested with QX9650, 2GB Corsairs, 8800GT ...
Ocing with Kensfield and Conroe is the same like on nForce 680i SLI mobos, but with Yorkfields boards has problems ... with BIOS 0402 i cannot to OC my QX9650 even 1 MHz ... after OC attempt mobo freezes or no post ...
Finally i got a Alpha BIOS 12191 and my Yorkie is overclockable on this board ... but max multi i can to use is 6-9,5 ... nothing more
Max stable FSB with Yorkie is 400MHz, with 401MHz bobo freezes again ... but it is good start!
Tests:
Complete review in Czech language ... but graphs dont need a translation ...

Id call that many things, and a "good start" aint one of them! Its not your fault though.

I won't call that a good start, too. they need more than FSB 400 to compete with Intels chipsets. but hey, that's nothing we've seen before. if you ask me noone would buy their chipsets any more if we could use SLI on Intel-mainboards...

400MHz is good start with Alpha BIOS, with previous BIOS i cant overclock Yorkie at all ... now i reach 400MHz and this is really good ... we can see working Yorkie on that chipset ...
I have another nF780 mobo Gigabyte and that mobo + Yorkie = no boot ... Asus is better ...

I still have nightmares about the SE, looks like this is going to be no different.
Reference board seems to be the way to go for Intel sli.

The name P5N-T makes it sound like a lowend budget board.
Thanks

Conroe is miles away from usage of Yorkfield ... with Conroe i can OC fsb 500MHz without problems ... but Yorkfield is another league ...

Yes but still 400FSB is better than what we had a month ago, which was no York at all.

If we don't go for each % we all would be with our P5W's running CPU's at stock... and if we compare perfomance clock for clock nothing differentiates current boards with the first conroe boards... Really don't get your comment there... and it's too early to tell as we are only talking alpha bios and some are already making comments...pffffffff

I had this board for three days with a Q6600 (G0, week 39)
My board stopped at 370 (1480)FSB with 65nm quad.
Sold it and made some money though
