More HD3870 testing... 25k on stock coolers / stock cards?

So, after benching pi for a while, I decided to try the wonderfull world of 3D benching.

    The setup:
    Asus Maximus Formula SE
Intel QX9650 @ Solid Copper Waus Tube
    2x Asus ATI HD3870 - Stock koeling - modded bios - Fans 100%
    2GB Crucial Balistic PC8500
OCZ Pro X Stream 1000watt PSU

    The score

Not a bad start... I was running out of LN2, I know the cpu does 5400mhz 3D, so I will try that next time... The card can go a little higher to.

Next step is going extreme on the cards.... I like it

    They can do more...

Max mem in '06 was 1356mhz with core at only 800mhz.

This setup needs a lot more testing to sqeeze more out, but hey, this is my first time benching some serious 3D.... and I like it

I need to vmod the cards soon... and look for some nice tube's.
I have one tube ready, is an solid alu. Maby i'll test the cards with that tube and single stage on the other one.

nice score! Seems a bit unbalanced though- lookin forward to you treating the cards the same as the CPU

Check classifieds for some GPU pot action
