I have the 595s and love them.

If the output on the auzentech is similar to the audigy 2 zs, you won't need an amp.

The Prelude has a much higher output(5v) compared to any Creative card. If anything, it will drive the HD595s better vs the Audigys/X-Fis.

Yepp! You'll not really need an amp unless you're very anal about it. Prelude is Loud and Bombastic enough to not need an amp. Example, Creative cards are 2.5 instead of 5v.

For that we should thank BOTH (AMD and Intel) companies!

I am sure JF is relaxed and smiling these days with there intended launch schedule. SNB Xeon servers on the other hand....

    oh really?

In that case, no, you won't need an amp. The creative card can drive them louder than I feel compfortable listening to.

depends on how many ohms the cans are also, although its not the only determining factor.

I Guess it would probably sound terrible though....

no point spending $$$ on a good pair of cans and not having a decent sound card to drive them...
