GeForce 8800 GTS 512 Mb has 3-phase power converter and I'm sure it's possible to make the same with GT.

There's also tons of SMD components missing on the backside.
I think it's possible to make it work but acquiring match parts would be a PITA and in the end, ordering the needed parts might become more expensive than shelling the extra dough for a GTS (which is 3 phase native).

The G92 8800GTS samples (also 3 phase cards) are trickling in too, just waiting for the NDA to lift before hitting retail, so a little patience would be most useful.
