24 hours benching (by matose & Monstru)

I decided together with my friend Monstru that our second DryICE run to include, besides LGA775, the good old Socket A ! The first beeing this. The result surprised us too...

    LGA775 test system:

DFI Infinity P35 Blood Iron + SilenX iXtrema
COOLING: Duniek copper head tube + DICE
    2x1GB Crucial Ballistix 8500
    2x1GB Mushkin 9200
    Mushkin XP-650 Enhanced Power Supply
WD Raptor 74Gb 16MB Sata II

    Core 2 Duo E6850 @ 5115Mhz @ 1.73v under DICE

    Super Pi 1M = 9.953s

We thank m3kk for lending us this CPU which is a very good one. The FPO is the highly praised L720A745 :P! We did all the tests with C1E active. This is my method too bring the temp down before running SuperPI. This way I could bench higher on each CPU's I tested this method !

    Core 2 Duo E6600 L631B @ 4790Mhz @ 1.75v

    Super Pi 1M = 10.625s

    Pentium 4 631 @ 6260Mhz @ 1.65v Validation

    SuperPI 1M @ 6150Mhz: 21.188s

We was expecting more from this 65nm Cedar Mill D0 revision, but it seems that LN2 is a must for this hot monster :P!

Now the real fun starts ...

    Socket A test system:

Abit NF7 v2.0 Fully moded by v0rt3x - "The Undying Legend"
COOLING: Duniek copper head tube + DICE
    2x256 Corsair LLPT 1.1 Old School BH-5 + DELTA 150CFM RamFlow
    OCZ DDR Booster
    Mushkin XP-650 Enhanced Power Supply
    Seagate 80GB IDE

    AMD Athlon XP 1700+ JIUHB:

    Memtest DOS screen @ 3101Mhz @ 2.22v
    CPU-Z Validation @ 2931Mhz @ 2.1v (Windows couldn't boot with higher voltage ) - WR HWBot
    SuperPI 1M @ 2750Mhz: 39.547s

    AMD Barton 2500+:

    Memtest DOS screen @ 3087Mhz @ 2.2v
    CPU-Z Validation @ 2948Mhz @ 1.85v- WR Hwbot
    Super Pi 1M 2900Mhz: 35.48s - WR Hwbot

We need to thank our friend Vort3x for lending us his monster NF7 fully modded mobo and our friend mittone for helping us in our Socket A adventure !

Also we wish to thank xwoodoo and Micutzu, true legends, for location, advices and help on the mod. We had also some entuziasts from our forum present at the event which we thank for the assistance: h3xor, alex-ro, Orlov & HymuraX were there !

Very nice result with that E6850. You are one of the first to achieve sub-10 on dry ice.

I really like that last pic btw

Thx guys, it really was fun. I see that everybody likes the 6850 (we love that score) but we also were just amazed with the socket A. Old School rulezzz

A little explanation: in the first picture you can see our friend mittone amazed when seeing 3101Mhz on the XP 1700+ in Memtest (he was sure that this CPU would not catch 3Ghz)
