Gigabyte G31MX-S2 260 Mhz FSB max? 2x and 2.66x RAM multi w/modded bios?

So...I'll get straight to the point.

Specs of system (don't laugh, its for my sister. I just want to play with it )

    E2140 M0 Stepping
    Gigabyte G31MX-S2 w/modded F3 BIOS (help?)
    1x1gb Corsair ValueSelect DDR2-667 CL5@1.8v w/Vantec Heatspreader on it.
    Scythe KatanaII heatsink
    Corsair VX450w
    eVGA 7900GT KO
120mm exhaust fan working with the CPU fan to work in a push/pull fashion
    120mm fan over the chipset/RAM
160gb WD Caviar SE SATA 3.0GB/s HDD (WD1600AAJS)
    Coolermaster Centurion 5.

Okay, so the problem is that this board doesn't have any decent RAM multipliers available with this 800 MHz FSB processor. Of course the processor is an M0, and i've heard some stories about them clocking well, so yeah. The board has a 3.33x and a 4.0+x RAM multiplier available in BIOS from the factory, which means I get to max this Corsair out at 240 MHz fsb...with loads of voltage and very loose (5-7-7-19) timings...

Since that was a problem, I went to rebelshaven, read a few stickies, and enabled the 2.0x and the 2.66x RAM multipliers. The problem is...2.66x will only clock up to 260 MHz FSB, while the 2x wont even post. At any speed...

So, does anybody have any experience at all with this board and/or modding a BIOS? I mightve missed something. I know this Corsair will do DDR2-800, and I know this board can do 300FSB. But it doesn't work.

All I did with ModBin6 was enable the multipliers, then reboot. Is there another BIOS option I need to mess with?

Ask me questions. I want to clock this thing up

being a giga board, no ratio1:1!
so you will be limited by your rams!
on the other hand, the max fsb of the G31 is around fsb@340!!!
And bsel mod does not work either nore modded bios (ratio 2x & 2.66x could be unlocked but will be useless: tested on g33m-ds2r)...

Well...2.66x seems to work, kind of.

maybe but without interest IMO, if it is to be locked@260!
with good rams g33m-ds2r can hit fsb@333 using c2d or e21xx fsb800 with regular bios!
To hit fsb@333 on g31: use ballistix 5300 (d9gmh) that can handle 1108mhz...

I'll bring my lanfest ram over tonight. We'll try the 2.66x multi with that stuff.

Or I can wait for my stuff to come.

    Lanfest = Ballistix PC2-6400.

I got it up to 333 MHz. The RAM doesn't like it though. RAM is at 1110, and the board is pushed pretty high.
