use the search button, theres a really good thread about the striker with a q6600
Intel q6600 g0 3.4ghz
P5N32-E Sli
XFX 8800ultra
2x WD caviar SE
I just got my Striker Extreme last weekend and am still benching with my Q6600. Have a look at this thread http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=159457
You want the 1303 bios, do not, I repeat, do NOT use the 1305 bios. I'm priming stable at the moment at 3.6. I did boot into windows at 4.0g but soon as I tired P95 it crashed.
HUGE thanks to GameGuru,
Applied the bios settings he recommended and used bios 1301.
System is fine at 3.6GHz now.
Good stuff lads![]()

Hi !
i am new and any help is welcome.
this is my rig :

These are Linflas settings mate, worked good for me till up to 425FSB, keep ram in sync with FSB do not try to force more ram mhz as it will make the OC unstable... I hope it works out for you as some boards just don't cut it... plz make sure the heatpipes get enough cooling as running them without added cooling will surely hinder ya OC

On the Antec PSU I cannot comment as I never use them in a high specced system, I'm a trusty follower of Enermax and OCZ...

hi ! and tks for atention.
i tried your settings and dont boot.At x8 boot only in 1500 FSB ,and i changed at x9 and after many ,many restrats (very hard this striker ) i find this settings:
@3,15, 30 grade CPU idlle

Quad QX9650 rev C0 with air cooling| GA-EP45-UD3P (rev. 1.6) bios FE | 2X2 8500C5DF-1066Mhz|Club3D 5850 | Raid 0 with 2 x hdd | PSU 750W
you on 1301 or 1303 Bios mate ? Well each board behaves differently did it boot with only 2 dimms in it ? what was the error on the lcd ?
Question : Why do some overclockers switch into d*ckmode when money is involved
Remark : They call me Pro AsusSaaya yupp, I agree
bios is 1301,i boot only with 4 dimms and i dont have a error becouse dont boot (black screen)![]()
and now i changed "MEM (DDR), Mhz: 900" in 850 becouse i recevie bluescreen after 30 min with prime95.

there should be an error on the LCD poster at ya backplate: cpu init, det ram, det ide,...
and also a black screen no boot means you are in an FSB hole, meanign you have to up the FSB eg 12mhz and try again...
try eg 1660 FSB ( 415FSB) with 830mhz on the ram always try to keep these in line with a quad, if you are gonna force them you migth get instabilities... if it doesn't boot try 1672 and 833 on the ram till it boots...

ok,tks mate,i will try .
