I've been working on this together with macci and Kinc, and since I know that many of the people that have asked me about how to overclock Radeon HD 2900 XT CF hand around here as well I thought it would be a good idea to post it here as well.

Basically this is a deeper and more thorough explanation of how to overclock 2900 XF using AMD GPU Clock Tool and the "switching monitor" method. Enjoy.

For the last few months we've been doing quite a lot of benchmarking and testing with the Radeon HD 2900 XT. Overclocking a single graphics card has proven to be quite a challenge, and overclocking two of them in CrossFire mode is even harder. Especially as the drivers don't bring support for overclocking cards running CrossFire, but ATI decided to find a workaround for the most extreme users by supplying BIOSes with adjusted frequencies.
