Talking My Stacker Mod/H20 Project: DONE *56k = Eeekaboom!*

Well, It had taken me a LONG time to finish this... But I'm finally done. (I Think)

I modded my Stacker back in early June:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=146735

    Then Lapped my XP-90:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=147660

Then spent all my money on a box of liquid cooling goodies:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...p?p=2278796#21

I made some mistakes as I modded, And had to redo/replace a few pieces along the way. But Today, After 20 Hours of straight work through the night, I have finished it!

the bad part: No pics of the case until my camera is charged all the way, The battery is already pretty shot. Until then, I have some results and a question:

Question: Coretemp says 28/41... Wtf? I've only used CT with C2D's prior to this, Does the chip monitor temps differently? I'm going to try to reseat the CPU block.

Just wait for the pics... She's a Beaute.

EDIT: LOL I have no idea why CPUZ says 3.3Ghz... I Wish!

    Data:

    Liquid Cooling:
D-Tek Fuzion (With a 1/16" O ring and a home made nozzle similar to Martin's... Also Lapped and re-bowed)
Swiftech MCW60 (Gonna replace the loose ramsinks later)
    DDC 3.1 w/ Petras Top
    Swiftech MCRES
    Swiftech MCR320
    Three Yate Loon SL's @ 5 volts
    Tygon 7/16" Tubing
    %100 D-Tek Hi-Flow barbs
    Breeze aircraft stainless hose clamps

1:20 Ratio of water to G11
    Overkill amount of PTnuke
Overkill amount of UV Blue Dye (I think i'm gonna add more to see if it'll do anything)

    Case:
Interior painted with Rustoleum "Hammered" Bronze "Jet Black" Paint
plexiglass added to Side Window and bottom grill (For noise and dust reduction)
4 holes cut in Motherboard tray to cable organization
3 Hard Drives vibration mounted Vertically
    2x Yate Loon SL's @ 5 volts

    Hardware:

    Dang! Nice work!

That was a pretty tight fit for the chipset cooler, eh?

    I used 3 of these:
    http://www.petrastechshop.com/scahddst2for.html

And jerry-rigged them into some un-coneventional locations:

    I did that several reasons:

A- So it would fit amongst the Radiator input/output, the res, And the Fill-Line.
B- The raptors get airflow from the radiator
    C- There are no vibrations!

So it would not hit the Motherboard tray:

It was a pain since I had to put the DVD drive on the bottom, But on my desk, It's actually nice!

The drive tray opens over my keyboard and monitor stands, And I don't have to get up for a second to put a disk in on the top

Anyone know what's up with coretemp? (First post, bottom)

Man I have no idea but I have the same prob with core temp. Room temp is 24C but core temp on idle is giving me 39C for Core 0 and 16C for Core 1. I don't know about you but I have tried several versions of core temp an all had the same results. I'm not sure if there is a solution, but for now my solution is to use Smartguardian for temp monitoring, it doesn't show the core temps but it seams fairly accurate. At least the cpu diode temp isn't below ambient.

KaptCrunch I think you need some coffee or something to wake you up. The loop is in the proper order and nothing is reversed, the flow order is (from what I can tell) Res>Pump>Rad>CPU>GPU>Res.

Easy there... But yes the flow is correct and that's the order (Res>Pump>Rad>CPU>GPU>Res). No air bubbles i dont think, I turned this thing around 360 degrees multiple times to clear them out. It's *Possible* there is one in the CPU block, But I highly doubt it, And I will give it a tilt tomorrow to be sure.

I re-seated it 3 times already... Not gonna waste any more MX-2, Its obviously something specific to this motherboard's readings.

I'll edit this into my post:

very nice and roomy in there.

could use some more raptors i'd say...

btw why vertical mount raptors? you could have done all HDs horizontal.
    or just personal preference...

Sweet Stacker, quite a bit of work and looks great.

If you have not already, would you mind adding just a few pics and hardware description to the Stacker Slacker thread in the CASE section. If you don't know this already I have a thread dedicated to Stacker owners and would appreciate you adding just a few pics.

    Thank you.

    And lastly, some night pics...

Hopefully I'll be able to replace the chipset fan, find a way to mount some front fans, isolate the pump a bit more, And work more on cable organization.

Then, It's 8800GTS / Equivalent. After that... I'm going to wait a bit before getting a whole new system, And migrate the raptors/DVD/H20 over to the new rig.

But I digress, I'm looking at 6-8 months before all this, If that.

    Cheers
