Is it too much to ask for UV RED acrylic?

Like the title says, is it really to much to ask for?

I need your help in finding fluorescent red acrylic in a sheet roughly 12" x 24" x .118" (3mm). I purchased one sheet of Green, Blue, Orange, Yellow, and Red from U.S. Plastic and was fairly happy with the first 4 colors to show up. Then yesterday (thanks to it being special ordered), the red final showed up and made me very unhappy. It's pink or orange/red...what I need is a confirmed real red, that will glow under UV lights. Anyone tried A.C. Ryan's red?...or ordered Fluorescent red from Mcmaster?...anywhere else I'm missing?

If I can't use this fluorescent acrylic idea, can anyone tell me if the newer Clearneon paint works anywhere near advertised?

Yeah, I saw that quite early in my search. With all due respect to CD, I'd really like some other opinions from ppl that have actually used it as there are a few somewhat strict guidelines as how to use the stuff. I've poked through Clearnoen's site and saw some pretty neat things but I also saw a re-occurring theme with white paint/light colored wood as the background and I'm not sure exactly what CD sprayed. Even if I have to buy the brush on stuff and thin it to use an airbrush I'll do it if it will work, but this is only really just a secondary option to the acrylic.

Dude I have looked high and low. There is no real red UV stuff. I just received custom fabbed see thru red mirror acrylic. I know Danger Den gets special order 3/8" red but it is not uv. I have tried red UV fluid XP . . .pink. I have tried UV red sleeving kits . . .pink. I have tried UV red fans . . .pink. I have all kinds of UV paint . . .never turns out really red.

Yeah, I'm starting to come to that realization rather quickly.

I was at FCPU yesterday and picked up their last can of Clearnneon Red. It works fine when sprayed on something of light color, but it just won't work in the capacity I would need it to (on clear acrylic) as it leaves a visible film (only on the acrylic). It's definitely more Red than some other paints I've tried (Testors model paint) which turns out more of an Orange. Oh, and this stuff still smells like something women would spay on themselves during "that" time of the month.

Looks like I go back to FCPU over the weekend and grab some plain colored acrylic and use white CCFL's to light things up.

Please read more than the topic title before posting.

This is for a themed case, it will have some blue in it, that's not my sticking point.

Hey Waterlogged how does the orange look under UV? I'm going with orange as my theme and on the lookout for UV Orange.

    Thanks!

kinghong1970, Thanks for the effort but I've abandoned the UV look for this project. I drove to FCPU on Sat and picked up a 12 x 12 window in Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange and picked up 2 Green Chenming Elite windows to give me 5 of the 6 colors I'll need. I'm gonna substitute Smoke Gray for the White as there is no such thing as "Transparent White".

I'm taking pictures like mad trying to get a good representation for you to see for yourself, but it's starting to drive me up the frelling wall. It just won't play nice.

You know, it's amazing how much stress is caused by not having a $13 UV filter.
