I actually just got a 2600XT 512mb for my HTPC build Glad it turned out good for you, any problems with sound and the DVI>HDMI adapter?

no problems yet,I finally got it to work with my vga cables. We have it going into our optoma DLP projector and it looks stunning.I bought the 512mg ver also.
I had a few problems making it work in vista and I finally figured it all out.You need the right drivers and my problem was I had 2 cables going out of the card.It didnt like having 2 cables(one going to a monitor and the other going to the projector)after a few set backs Igot it to work. For some reason vga looks better than dvi in my situation.
