    P5K Premium vmod confirmation?

I already did my Vc, but am looking at doing PLL voltage as well since it really seems to be the only thing getting me past a certain point. From the digging I've done, it looks like the P5K Deluxe is the same overall layout and same basic ICs (although different manufacturers) and that's where I picked up the the PLL and FSB read points from.

I was all set to start soldering, but I wanted to verify that the measure points were the same as the Deluxe first and my results seem to indicate they are not, unless I am totally missing something.

The fets/resistors are in the same locations as the Deluxe and they "seem" like they could be the correct measure points as marked (Vmch SMT is definitely a correct read point), but I have odd results on the FET legs for the other 2. FSB & PLL voltages measured at those points don't change with different settings in BIOS, so I am not 100% these are correct on the Prem or if I am missing something else. As you can see by the fingerprints all over the board, I was digging around pretty good looking for alternate measure points, but haven't found any yet. So, I am looking for some confirmation from anyone who has done the mods and/or measured the PLL/FSB VTT on a Premium.

Just FYI, when I check the "Vfsb measure" leg, I get 1.06V no matter what FSB Term is set to in BIOS. When I check "Vpll measure", I get 1.548V no matter PLL Voltage is set to in BIOS.

Any help on this is appreciated...and I am sure not from just me

Bump...no one else has attempted these mods on a P5K Premium yet??

I did what I think is the PLL mod and it does in fact change voltage on the "Vpll" pin in my pic, however, there is still nothing I can change in BIOS that alters the reading there (only the VR does) so I am not doing anything with adjustments yet.

Where are all the modders...someone must have a Prem laying around

Spoke too soon on the mod point, but the measure point is right. Apparently I was tapped on the ground side of the open measure point while I was checking the IC and got a tone

Anyway, here's the measure points, still looking for a mod point...anyone feel free to help because I clearly am getting more and more flakey each time I try to look

Bump for a man on a mission--he needs this mod bad for all the megahurtz he can get!

Too bad so few have this board Ross, hopefully you can tackle this yourself and let the rest of us know how to PLL mod it.

Thanks Gautam I am still dabbling with it (and getting more frustrated), but I am definitely leaning towards trying a vanilla now, so I don't know how many more times I am going to take the DMM to the board and retap the same SMTs/ICs over and over again looking for the mod point My eyes go crossed after a while

If I do run across it, I will definitely post, but if someone else finds/knows it, PLEASE post it!

I have my sink off and measure right on the fets so I haven't looked for any alternate location that's not under the sink. I'll try to check the next time I have the board running.
