    for your understanding!!

the demo and retail version works perfectly fine with widescreen display the problem is the red bars are what you are missing when you play in widescreen

Glad I'm not one of those expensive widescreen lcd owners (CRTs ftw!). But this just has to be fixed or it will get lots of complaints very quick.

I don´t really get the problem here... This is what I can make from it.

    - Performance is less (FRAPS numbers)??
    - It doesn't add any pixels to the side, but cuts at the top and bottom (which isn't a problem is it?)
    - Thos red bars... or are they just for my reason number 2, because the image isn't in WS obviously...

BTW, it ran fine on my 1440x900 LCD, widescreen didn't mess up anything...

widescreen is suppose to add to the sides, that's why people spend extra money. to get more out of what is there

2K here cut out the top and bottom to give the normal view ppl an advantage or better viewing experience.

Widescreen is supposed to increase your field of view, to see more of the game, like a 90* FOV or greater. In this case, they chopped the tops off the image for widescreen, making the image more zoomed in, and a ~75* FOV
    Fold for XS!

Widescreen should have a wider FOV. Unless that was compared on 1280x1024 and 1280x800 monitors, then it looks about right.

<Aleph-One>I believe they are a fabrication. Most of the evidence would suggest that they were created in a studio during the Cold War to display our industrial superiority over the Soviet Union.

This is the news I like to hear after investing in a 30" LCD (HP3065) monitor so I can enjoy widescreen. Not to mention my 52" LCD HDTV is ALSO widescreen and I wanted that game. And ofc there is no PS3 version which I also recently bought.

    Good news I tell you.
