Thumbs up G00D NEWS ON Q6600 G0, USA/In stock, get yours now!

    http://www.clubit.com/product_detail...temno=A1938452
    ntel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.40GHz 8MB L2 LGA 775 Processor Retail BX80562Q6600

G0 Stepping in stock now, subjcet to change Get a Movielink movie download (up to $20 value) with purchase
    Manufacture Part# BX80562Q6600
    ClubIT Part # CA1938452

    In Stock: Yes
    ClubIT Price: $295.00*

EDIT2: BTW I don't know how their order process works now. I voice-pre-ordered and
got a guaranteed G0. Anyone could always have ordered a "Q6600" from the WWW site and
they would've gotten a B3 or G0 randomly. Now that they have G0 in stock I don't know
if you have to voice-request a G0 guarantee for your order or if they're in shape to guarantee
G0 to all fully automatic web placed orders now. So they will guarantee G0 but I'm just not
sure if it's any longer necessary to email/call/ask explicitly for that.

Disclaimer: I have NO involvement with
the retailer, I'm just darn glad they're getting
ready to ship my G0, I've been waiting months
to finish my system as you may have seen on
    my other threads!
I'm sure many of you feel the same and thus
    would want to know!

Nice, I pre-ordered on the 30th of July (I think) ... you? I haven't seen the order email come through yet, fingers crossed it ships today.

These should sell out very quickly!

    Yes, I pre-ordered the Q6600 G0 from ClubIt
on 30-July and mine is 'Pending for shipment'
    status now too.

I have not yet received any emails about the
order. I just had seen the change on the WWW
site saying "ETA for G0 8/3" so I kept checking
back and then saw "G0 IN STOCK" so I thought
    I'd share the news.

I wonder if they'll actually ship any (as in get
them to the actual FedEx shipping terminal) today
or if they ship on Saturday or if most of the
PreOrders won't hit Fedex until Monday?

Anyway it'll be hard with anxiety to wait for
Wednesday / Thursday or whenever it might
arrive for me! I've got everything else set up
waiting for the CPU except for a water cooling
upgrade but I'll start with the TR 120 U-X.

Ah, OK so mine is also "Pending for Shipment" on the site, hadn't checked there before since I assumed they were just tracking these separately.

I'll be starting with a TR 120 U-X mounted sideways because it won't fit with my eVGA 680i / Lian-Li v1200bPlusII setup ... if that fails to take me where I want to go, I'll probably go to WC-land myself.

    Clubit rocks.

As much as I want a quad, I'm gonna wait until these get even cheaper. My E6400 thinks it's a 3.6Ghz chip and I don't want to fix what ain't broke just yet...

Who am I kidding? I've got other expenses and if I didn't I would jump on this clubit G0 Q6600 like the proverbial duck on a junebug!

    There's nothing bad about an E6400 @ 3.6!

And of course the Q6600/X3210/X3220 will only
get (a bit) cheaper over the next 6 months.
And who knows what AMD's quads will be like
or how the competition will help prices.

After 6 months though I'd worry about supply
of cheap quads though (unless competition is good)
because during Q4/2007 to Q3/2008 Intel will
begin releasing their 45nm Penryn FSB 1333
quads, and if their yields are good I don't see why
    they'd keep making the Q6600 / X3210 / X3220
    at FSB 1066 and 65nm past mid-2008.

Since Penryn is supposed to be the next big thing
I'm sure it'll go for (more of) a premium than
these current quads, but we'll see..
AMD competition is a good thing for us all.

Clubit definitely has my money. How long does it normally take for clubit to ship (with standard ground)?

My order status just changed to
"Order Completed" which I HOPE means
that they've charged me and sent the order
to the warehouse, and that it'll translate to
"Shipped" with a tracking number whenever
they do get that all taken care of.

I think the TR120 U-X will get us very close
    to water-cooled temeperatures and I don't care
so much about the last 5C or 200MHz O/C.

My W/C temptation is more that in the
Antec Sonata I case I have there's pretty
poor ventillation compared to many higher end
cases, so I figure getting the 100-150W heat load
from the CPU out of the case to an external
radiator will be very beneficial for overall
temperatures because of the case airflow.
Otherwise I doubt the water system would
cool the CPU very much better than the TR120UX.

    Question

I don't know, this is my first order with them.
On general principle, though, I know that the
ClubIt site lists their phone-in hours as
Monday-Friday until 5pm. So who knows about
whether they have an automated way to process
    web-automatic orders again until Monday.
It's kind of late in the day today for anything
to actually be picked up by FedEx but there's
a slight chance it's possible if they've already
    processed and packed your order.
I have no idea about their warehouse but
sometimes FedEx and warehouses don't do
    Saturday/Sunday pick-ups, sometimes they do
    Saturday and not Sunday.

So overall I'd guess it'd ship Monday afternoon
or maybe Tuesday mid-day and probably take
3 days to get to you.

Thanks for the heads up synergy. I'm pending shipment now, hadn't been on the pre-order list anywhere since no place was committing to a firm date and I wanted to be able to snag one if I came across one in the mean time. Kudos to ClubIT for not playing a gouge game with these.

Congratulations, I'm glad it worked out for you!
I was playing the "wait and see who'll have it
first" game too and preordered when it looked like
they'd have it in before TankGuys or the
few others with G0 guarantees and sane prices.

    I think I'll write ClubIt a thank-you email for
doing these G0 updates, pre-orders and
stepping guarantee efforts. And, yes, also for
not price gouging on them too! It seems like much
better attention to service/detail than most other
    retailers! Way to go, ClubIT!

Ah it's only a few more days and they seem like
a good outfit / resource to support. Up until the
last couple of days it was looking like they
were by far the best choice for US customers,
I was on the verge of ordering from them.
Actually I still might; I'd like an X3210 and
Clubit doesn't have it, I'm sure TankGuys will
    one day.

No surprise. The same thing happened last year with the C2D launch.

Why does it say b3 stepping when you click detail about the product?
Do I have to called them to get G0? or i can order from online without calling them is there garantuee of getting GO without ordering from phone.

Just to be safe going to wait til this monday.

I noticed that too, but if you look at the top of the product page they say in very dramatic
    style:
    G0 Stepping in stock now!
    ...and under the Summary tab:

    sSpec#: SLACR
    Core Stepping: G0
whereas the bit about 'B3' under details hasn't
changed for weeks. They just forgot to update
that section of the page whereas they're basically
    saying it's G0 in 3 other places.

Also I think they COULD be out of stock by Monday
    since there's a lot of pent-up G0 demand.

Personally I'd place the order on the WWW NOW
and then if there's a place to put "comments"
or "notes" on the order process say you
want a G0 and if there's not such a place,
email them with your order number and
say you want a G0 and weren't sure if they
were guaranteeing that for all web orders
based on the product page. That way you'll
get your product 'reserved' and yet they'll
be able to see your G0 request before they
    actually process your order Monday.
