I cant take the techreport one serious. Its benched with a 7900GTX and it affects game testing alot.

And E6750 got its own board (P35 based), while all the 1066 CPUs another (x975 based).

    Bad review

    Sounds crazy

Our Core 2 Duo E6750 sample was a particularly great overclocker, at stock voltage with a retail Intel heatsink/fan we were able to run the system at 3.68GHz (460 x 8.0)

The anandtech E6750 CPUZ screenshot does not show which stepping was used, irev210 has already tested the "G0" stepping with great success on this forum, he got better results than anandtech using the cheaper E6550 chip!

    E6550 "G0" testing 3.8GHz w/ 1.35Vcore Low Volts, High Clocks!

all 6x50 chips will be G0 stepping so discussion about what stepping is that 1333 MHz chip is pointless for now.
the thing is many comercial reviewers play with oc for 30 minutes and say this cpu is not able to go beyond e.g. 3.5 GHz. the other thing is not every chip is going to scale same and the last one those are ES, iŽll wait for retail to make my opinion.

Hmmm, I'm a little worried about the price for these now - I was kinda/sorta hoping for the E6750 to only be around $183 (as was stated on a few websites). If thats no the case, I may as well bite the bullet and get a Q6600

From just the Anandtech article....Photoshop CS3 and Oblivion went up 11% and 6%, respectively. Most other apps/benches went up 1-2%. Power went up ~2W.

Intel says they'll be out late summer. Price point for the E6750 is $183 per1000 and the 3GHz E6850 will go for $266 per1000.

Awesome, I'll take that one! I wonder how hard it might be to get e6750 to 4ghz orthos stable?

not hard, just depends on FSB wall

biggest problem with G0 chips is FSB wall.
