Very impressive clocks. What stepping is it?
Btw, where did he get that desktop background? Can't see much of it but it looks cool.
ask him if more voltage helps, and if he can provide any orthos shotsOriginally Posted by Lamika

Mainly higher OC results due to improved 90nm production capabilities.
no, it's definitely some tweaks to the core. if it was a change to just the silicon, the changes would show up on the stepping printed on the IHS only, not a change of the silicon revisonOriginally Posted by informal

wonder what the price difference is between the two.

There are plenty of benchmarks out there that compare C2Ds to Athlon FX/X2 chips. General results seem to indicate that the C2D can spot the A64 a 400mhz handicap and they will be equal. So I would imagine that at that max overclock his chip would compare well with a C2D X6800 (2.93ghz).Originally Posted by showmanlkz

Wow. Awesome OCwell done.. on air too.
I'm quite keen to put my F3 5600+ into DFI board after seeing these results. I can't squeeze 3.3 out of it atm. Wondering if it's the board or a poor OCer.
Lamika:Great work!
