EVGA 680i & FSB issued have been fixed

While I cannot reveal exactly what the "fix" is, it does indeed work. And early results are very promising.

    QX6700 @ 3600Mhz 400x9

    QX6700 @ 3600Mhz 450x8
    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=171627

I thought I would post this and let everyone know that EVGA has indeed heard the pleas for the FSB issues and there is light at the end of the tunnel

EDIT: The fix is a simple board swap for a new revision....read on

This is a great leap from the 300Mhz FSb or so that the board has been limited to with quad cores previously. I'm still testing settings and such to find the optimal performance sweet spot, but things are indeed looking up

Far from a rumor that I'm posting, as you can clearly see my FSB speeds with a QX6700. And as for "needing attention"? No. I was only letting people know that it has been fixed and will be made available to everyone soon.

PS: Learn to spell before you post an insult. I typed "attention" for you in bold print so at least you can learn something today.

I try to do something nice and let people know that the fix is for real and is indeed working and you guys take a piss on me? With people like you I'm beginning to understand why some companies don't even bother to say anything.....

I'll not be bothered with this anymore.

    Mods, please close this thread.

Well, I am not under any disclosure agreements. I can tell you that I spoke directly to evga and they said it is a board revision and they will do a swap. It will be a while before they are in the retail channels but they can do a direct swap. They told me to go ahead and buy a board and when the revisions are available I can send it in with an advanced rma.
