Check the Copyright Date on the IHS. afaik, if it's copyright 2001 AMD, it's not soldered. Copyright 2005 AMD is soldered.Originally Posted by SparkyJJO

applies to all, but not all are soldered. while the C 2005 chips have been soldered, i'm pretty certain i've seen a few that aren't... so it's really a toss-up. better safe than sorry though, eh?
