    Asus P5B-E 1.02G vdoop?

Heres a little comparison between the P5B Deluxe WiFi and Asus P5B-E Plus, seems a lot of ics are missing, if a few different places on the mobo. BIOS is basically the same with the same voltage options from bios. A lot of the capacitors on the P5B Deluxe WiFi have changed to the tin caps.

Seem that P5b-E Plus mobo either doesnt like my new Intel D 925 much or the mobo is a heap of shiiite.

Because the Intel D 925 has a multi of 15x if i boot through bios with higher that 215FSB it just rests mobo to stock settings. Same if i change settings different to that of AUTO. ALso the vdoop is insane, stock voltages = 1.15vcore in windows.
Even 1.4v is 1.25v and 1.5v bios is 1.29v in windows. I need to get a conroe into this board and see if the results are the same.
Clock gen does work and a little play I got the Intel D 925 to 3.9ghz on air with 1.5v in bios orthos stable for a quick run. Gets toasty though even with a low vcore.
Phase change her tomorrow and see how it goes ehehehe.

OCing result of this board is in my sig, I believe Norz of this forum has the same board and has achieved 550+ too.

As for vdroops, I believe it does so even more than a Deluxe board, because I always need to set higher in Bios to get same clocks compared to my old Deluxe.

If you set 1.45 in BIOS, you get around 1.38 idle and 1.35ish load

    Achieved:
    4Ghz E6300 on air - 115% OC
    666Mhz 5-5-5 2.45v

P5B E+ here too. Huge vdroop and must set much more volts in bios as you will get in win. So exactly what you described in first post. Short FSB test gets me 470 without touching any settings in Bios, because of 9x multi (E6600) i haven't tested further. Vdroop mod apreciated

thanxs for that guys, ic3m4n2005 is the vdroop mod for this mobo the same as for the deluxe?

I put it on phase and 1.7v droops to 1.55v for 32m spi 4.5ghz , and orthos it gets down to 1.44v and had to lower OC to get it stable with such a low vcore at 4.3ghz.
so long as the Ic's dont smoke with a vdroop mod i guess i could keep this mobo.

cool thats good to know that the vmods are the same on this mobo.

Im not sure i would though with phase change, I was running 1.7vcore and 2.45 RAM and auto everything else at the time.
THis was my second run on phase at a lan party i went to yesterday.
I put a E6400 in there and got it to 32m stable at 4.1GHz.
so i dropped back to 4ghz and ran orthos and it failed.
So then i tried 3.85GHZ and ran orthos few mins and it crashed.
And the smell of smoke. SO that was the end of that, luck i hand another stock PC in the car to use for the rest of the day.
I stuck a copper block on the end of the cooler and some of the guys added small drops of water on it till we got this heeheh.
