Board arrived this afternoon & appears to have a Memory Initialisation Problem.
Memory tried is 2 x 512Mb Geil PC2 6400 & 2 x 1024Mb Geil PC2 4300. Whilst the latter is only 533Mhz, it still shows the same error code on the display of "C1" which I cant find out anything concrete about. DFI forums is dead at the time of Posting.
I did read somewhere that there should be a RED LED-resistor lit next to the 24Pin PSU Connection. Mine lights a yellow/light orange colour as soon as the Bios Starts screaming 1 long continuous Beep for about 5 or 6 seconds before pausing & starting again. With no Ram in the board at all, there is just one continuous Beep without a pause until you turn the power off.
The PSU is a very healthy PC P&C 1KW Quad SLI. I have tried all the tricks in the book. Battery out resets whilst I drink Gallons of coffee before trying again: Tried single sticks in all Slot combinations - just always the same result. I don`t have another brand of Ram to try but both kits work perfectly in a Pentium D based Shuttle PC, so the RAM definately isn`t faulty.
After waiting 6 months for this board, I can`t believe the Irony of my sample trying to keep itself a piece of "Vapoware".
Does anyone have any similar issues or know of any issues like this?
