    Reserved for pics.

Here is the last shot of naked motherboard.

    CPU installed.

    AMD stock heatsinks are installed.

Here is what the CPU's IHS says. I took it right before I installed the heatsink.

Now ~, I open up my NAS rig.

Started to disassemble the current rig.

    The motherboard is in...

Final before starting up this new rig.

Nope. But I have a separate rig for rendering. Going to get rid of that rig and let this rig do that stuff as well. It's becoming all purpose rig.

well, NAS is network attached storage, so this is his data server (I guess)

I think this rig will have some power, just wish you wont have any storage issues (I dare you nVidia!)
The mobos of today are gettin so crowded, that they sometimes have very weird component-placement, in this case - the battery for the cmos
Sometimes a good slap in the face is all you need

    Bios my arss.....
I can fix this problem with a hardware mod....

Alucasa, is there any chance of seeing some Linux or Vista benchmarks? From what I've read, the XP scheduler doesn't handle NUMA well. It would be interesting to see if NUMA has any performance impact.

    BIOS screenshots are here.

I do not see much of OCing ability within BIOS options.

Well, I am having a problem.

The CPU fans are way too loud. I tried to run it fanless with just case air flow. (the chassis has 4 middle fans) But it got shut down by thermal sensor.

Now I am going to use the ASUS optional fans and leave the CPU heatsink fanless.

Yeah, same question here, is the multipliers unlocked upwards? I see it says max multi 25x in the earlier post, but it's greyed. Can you increase the multi at all? Nice rig btw.
