Hello!
I started this thread cause recently i heard many problems with memory compatibility with nForce chipsets!
Please report here any compatibity problems you faced with nf4,nf5 and nf6 mobos in order to make a list and possible solutions to our problems!
I will start with Cellshock...
according to this Hit me and after a translation from babelfish
Cellshock modules are compatible with NF chipsets when the SN starts from 110 and if you have problems you can conatct Cellshock to solve your problems after re-programming your spd...(that's good)Times briefly to the explanation of the i680 of problem: Due to the demands of the customers we had made SPD into our an entry for 1000C4 and/or 1000C5. This prepared on all boards tested so far (975, 965...) no problems, since this sucked with first boats. "safe defaults" set and it thus make possible to set attitudes the desired (and demanded). The i680 does not offer this however and is there in SPD no entry for the memory tension intended, bootet the board simply and simply not. As consequence its we programmed our modules immediately with EPP (Enhanced performance of profile), in order to anticipate this problem. All modules beginning with the seriennummer with 110 should possess the EPPs. Of course we also offer Usern concerned to give to us your modules in order to program in the course a RMA new SPD with EPP. However the customer must be responsible here for forwarding expenses to us. The moreover one have some user a kind "workaround" found - boats with only one module or boats with other modules - attitudes also here already set - and then "as used" further muddled (this no Top solution is natural to be able to operate but nevertheless a possibility the modules also without the stress of dispatching and the PC free time). In this sense - Happy Overclocking
Here it is the ASUS compatibility List (ICs)..but they have to update it more often!
Waiting for your participation to fulfill the list...once we have many reports..i will update the first post as soon as i can...!
