Problem with channel A - P5B dlx

Hi, i'm new over here.
6400 - P5B dlx wf
2x512 Corsair Value PC4200 KIT
Enermax 535w
etc

Iv just build my new PC and i'm having some problem with my memory.
I'll get a new Crucial Anniversary in 10 days.

The thing is, channel A dont work for me and channel B is on Single with my Corsair Value.

Any clue???

In Brazil, RMA isnt a option... its hard to get!

use both yellow or both black for dual channel, example: dimm 1 + 3 or 2+ 4 since you are reffering to a and b as they are described on the board i assume you are using different colored slots on your 2 sticks? correct?
also you should lock your pci @ 33 don't let it rise with the bus or you'll get issues.

1 stick on A1 = no Post
1 stick on A2 = no Post
1 A1 + 1 B1 = no Post
1 A2 + 1 B1 - no Post
...
B1 + B2 = POST on single channel

My PCI is locked, on bios, at 33 but clockGen shows 36...????

bad board rma time would be my guess. as for clockgen i don't use it on this board so it may be a bug. try upping volts a little to see if you can do dual channel since rma is tough there. and try setfsb for p5b deluxe mine displays proper pcie and pci freq.

Its running with 2.0v. ClockGen beta works

I'll try another bios to see what happens. I'm using 507 right now.
I'll wait for my new Crucial... if it also dont work, then i send it to the dealer.

no problem and i have that same memory it is awesome if you need settings when you get it shoot me a pm and i'll tell you what worked good with mine.
i'm on my second p5b deluxe the other one i thought was dead but i got it to work after i already got my new one. they definitly have some issues.
also i used 614 ,711and now 804 and i think 804 is more stable.

Well, the bios 804 didnt help me.

Still no post with any memory on channel A.

If you can get your RAM to post on any of the DIMMs one at a time, test each stick by itself for a couple cycles using memtest86 at the manufacturer's recommended settings to see if the RAM is the problem or if you have a mobo problem.

I have had the bad RAM thing happen to me, and my brother has gotten a mobo with a bad slot, so it could be anything.

Edit: one more thing... MAKE SURE you have the correct voltage for your ram set in the BIOS. My Crucial Ballistix, for example, runs at 2.2v, but my board defaults to 1.8 if you clear CMOS. That type of thing can be a problem if your RAM won't boot at too low of a voltage. It would be really good if you had another set of DDR2 you could use just for testing to rule things out. Borrow from a friend maybe?

oh yeah i had problems like this before when the guy at the shop tested the mobo and the memory before i bought them. i think his culprit was that the mem was bad. put in same set again and it worked. and also folly shifty's advice; make sure the voltage is high enough.

P5B doesn't discriminate as to which channel you place your ram in, you can even insert ram in yellow and black, it doesn't have to be in the same colour slots to be running dual channel!

It's a Corsair Value 2x512 PC4200 and it is working on my P4 520(MSI mobo) with no problem(dual ch) at all.
Still no post on ch A but i'v hit 802 with 2.15v, but in single channel.

This weekend i'll borrow some crap Sansung PC5300.
I think is the mobo
