First subzero runs on this month's hot new hardware ... Qx6700 on Vapochill LS, G80's on water + ice. Kentsfield is very bandwidth limited and only 3DM06 really shines with it, and there are some problems still to be solved in order to do 3D at high DDR2 clocks, but things are starting to look good. Thanks to www.senorg.ro and to my benching partner xwoodoo
Setup:
eVGA 680i SLI
Qx6700 on Vapochill LS, Vcore = 1.6V
TEAM Xtreem DDR1000 5-4-4 @ ~480Mhz 4-4-3-8
2x eVGA 8800GTX water + ice, Vgpu = 1.58V
Tagan U25 700W
For VGA cooling i've used the same waterblocks made by crazypc.ro forum member blue_led that i've used on the 7900GTX's in the past, these are very very good and can handle overvolted G80's without breaking a sweat. Also, the 700W Tagan is a beast, proved to be just as strong as the bigger 1100W brother, the 12V rail dropped only 0.08V in load and this mainly due to drop on wires.
Here are the results:
3DM06: 21115 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=669258
3DM05: 26796 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=2357551
3DM03: 70147 - http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5074507
