    Talking 7950GX2 Spaced / Dual VF900's *56k*

Picked up (2) VF900's last night, got the spacer kit today. The clearances are EXTREMELY tight, I had to half screw the double standoffs to create more space for the thumbscrews to clear the fan on the upper card. I took a ton of pics, but my cam wasn't focusing correctly so most turned out horrid. I salvaged what I could. On with the pics!

    10k! Woot! 625/700, stock volts. 6600@ 3.25

    <50C load - used to be 80+.

This thing is a freakin MONSTER now, just huge. Idle dropped from 57-60 to 36-40. Also, anyone know how to check both GPU temps? Riva / Control Panel just have one.

That's pretty nice temps man. Better than I expected Is that back of the card still hot as hell now or is it better?

Yikes, that's huge! I'll probably WC but it's good to see some pics of this with the spacer installed. So it looks like the spacer kit puts the top card exactly 1 PCI slot higher?

I think Petra's has the spacer kit, think I saw it on there last night.

I like it! Excellent work there. Though is that your max mem frequency? I can get 800MHz on stock volts and stock cooling(mind you that I have several fans pushing and pulling air out of the cars in addition). Though it may very well be a timming difference. Ditch those ugly blue heatsinks and get some Monster BGA copper sinks or the OCZ copper sinks. They work better and look awesome.

    Once again it looks great!

Hey! Wait a second, do you really think that small Switech heatsink is enoguh to cool the PCI Bridge chip? How hot does it get? :-X

Going to replace them with some big ol copper ones like you said, soon as Fry's gets stock again.

No idea, I've had 2-3 hours with the PC since the mod. Beer, women, work, what can I say.

I was a bit worried about that, but what else can I do. Going to check it out when I get home hopefully, see if I can score some burns. Anyway, it may have more space now, but not that much space. Thoughts?

i imagine putting a silent 80mm or 92mm fan on the end of the card(s) should help a bit to, especially on the cramped one.

Very nice. I wonder what is more effective, more Core speed or more DDR speed(for the cards).
