What's the CPU temp @ 1.6V?! That's really high for air IMO, considering it has 4 cores.

You can use Orthos Beta (same thing as stress-prime, but you can run 1 instance and it creates 2 or 4 threads, depending on your CPU).

Nice results. But I noticed you were using low FSB. Will Kentsfield do 400+ FSB with the Abit board?

looks like a mis-calibrated CPU temperature display, something Abit is famous for...nice stability though

    I have tested P5WDH, P5W64 WS and AW9D-MAX with my retail X6800

Abit is no doubt the motherboard for overclock and benching.... Asus can´t touch it

Lower temps in abit (about 5/6 C air cooled) and more mhz on cpu (120 more than P5WDH and 55 more than P5W64. (exactly in same conditions)

Abit only loses in FSB (460 against 480 in P5W64). But I believe the 460 wall will end when VMCH mod becomes available....

    Nice!

I love my Abit board too. I use a 7950 GX2 so sound card has plenty of room and with the G80 I am only planning on one card as well.

    Currently testing Orthos @ 412 x 9.

The current speed record for Kentsfield was done with an Asus board (P5W DH). And with the exception of coolaler's Intel board, the ten fastest 32M times in the world were all done with Asus boards.

The Abit board looks good. But it still has to prove itself in benching.

It will be good to have an Asus/Abit rivalry again. A new version of the P4C800-E vs. IC7 Max battle.

Why not use ""High FSB""? That is key point, such as Intel 975XBX Rev. 304.

then again, who needs a conroe pc only made for oc and benching if you do not play games or do other things with it. I get the oc thing, but I don`t get the " buying a pc of like 1500 $ " and than only do benchies with oc`d settings

What you are saying is correct but who benched Abit seriously so far?

Nobody.... I think. Just preliminary testing....

Lets see Abit with cascade and LN2... may be I'm wrong but I think Abit will beat ASUS.. If not.... I keep the ASUS board
