    ATI RD600, a very good DDR2 Overclker, ddr2_1220 4-4-4-12 done

    finally got this mobo working.
but cpu patch seems have some problem.
even I moded with asus' cpu code, it still not work
do not support my b1/b2 es/retail Conroe in hand, only run at 100mhz fsb.
I can only use clkgen overclk a liitle. could not higher than 1.9Ghz with my x6800.

but. this mobo is definetly a very good overclker for ddr2.
totally free ram overclking feature, max vdimm=2.55v, sub_ram_timings etc...

my Team DDR2_1000 get ddr2_1220 4-4-4-12 with only 2.55v in bios.

Remember it's a pre-production board that's approx 2months old already so the final version will be different, at the very least the color scheme.

With same voltage, is it a ddr2 overclocking difference between rd600 and 965/975 chipset ?

    Thats great News.
Supposedly Oskar from DFI was having some problems with weak ram overclocking. Hopefuly this is a good sign for their motherboard. Some everest sandra shots and a compo to another chipset would be a great addition to this thread if you have time.
Thanks for the heads up Victor

The DFI version of this board looks absolutely spectacular. This is the board I'm going to buy assuming it performs as well as the ref. board.

As long as the CPU ends up being able to OC as well as the ram they should sell easily
lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's

youre kidding us victor....the board is a dud and now you gonna tell us it looks good because of the ram running 610,......?????

Youre a funny guy , the ram looks good you mean, but i think there is a lot more ram who can do 610 @2,55v with that bus speed.

wait till its working good with a "working" bios then you can show.

Whats wrong? Its a beta board...What do you expect.....

At least we can see something different than 100s of 975/965 boards here.
Its not a "show"...Its an info and alternative is always good.

    @VW...Nice going there

I just told it's a mobo good for ram overcling, nothing else.
with a beta mob and beta bios, it can only support B0 stepping Conroe or earlier, I have no old cpu in hand so I cannot test as ATI showed me they achieved 3.85G with a X6800es B0 stepping on Air with ramclk at 625mhz CL=4.
if you think ur ram can to 1G*2 dual-channel ddr2_1220 4-4-4-12 with only 2.51v vdimm. you can try it and show us.
don't mention FSB high or low, 'coz ram clk is not FSB:RAM ratio related on RD600. you'd better read through RD600's white paper first.

i think those stick's can do that job or come very close at 2.55v will try later on.

don't get me wrong vw , the post was not to f*$k you up, but better wait till a good cpu or bios for it don't you think.

dfi got already a bit damaged name with the infinity, don't think this will help.

Well, that must be the reason of all those delays...

    Lets wait for better BIOS

tried my micron ddr2 667 with ecc 1g*2 on the mobo.

    originally about 2.6v 4-3-2-8 510mhz pi_1m on P5WD2-P mod.
    now 2.51v 510mhz 4-3-2-8 pi_1m with RD600, very impressive.
'coz of poor fsb problem, sandra bandwidth is quite low.
I'm trying to find a B0 chip or get a 965XE for more testing.

    thx everyone

wow very impressive, thanks for sharing this with us Victor Wang
but why does cpu-z read the mobo as Xpress 1250 (RS600) in stead of Xpress3200 (RD600)
have u actually got a RS600 board or is it just a CPUz bug?

I think you are holding it at the other end.

Look at it this way: this is a two-month old, experimental board, which is unfortunately still not fully operational. However, even in this state, it can do DDR2-1220 4-4-4-12 @ 2.55. Then imagine what a fixed, matured board can do

Good thing that I'm broke, now I can wait for them to come out

    Well why all the complaining?

just an pre es sample that is allready performing like a rocket. Besides this many people "under us" now what this board is capable off!

RD600.. not only new chipset, other mem clocking and many more benefits. Besides this the chipset is allready showing of faster results then i975. I only dont think it will be much faster in fsb then the 965 is.

I dont get it why people crack of this chipset. I can really say this board (especially with dfi) will be a rocker! 500fsb out of the box will be more common then i975.. trust me.

Besides this.... sample's will spread out soon no pre sample's any more! full dfi power!
