    E6600 on Vapochill LS

First off I would like to thank Gautam and Ross for helping me out with some pre-phase information.

This is the first time I turned on my computer with the Vapochill. Less than stock voltage (i marked 1.3 in the bios and I am seeing 1.29 volts.

3.6 Ghz - And I havent even tried to clock it yet.

    Evap Temps = -52*idle -45*C load

HERE IS A SCREENSHOT OF MY LATEST CLOCK: 4.0 Ghz @ 1.5 vcore:

    Evap Temps = -44*C idle -39*C load

Now to the current issue at hand. Any help would be appreciated:

Cold bug on startup. Guys, I have noticed something new with my vapochill. 4.2 ghz booted fine initially but for a while it stopped booting. I thought it was the memory so I ended up testing strictly the gskills.

These sticks are great, 100% stability @ DDR2-1066...

My next idea was to let the Vapochill unit cool down to around -5*C and try and boot. Well, after I did this it magically booted up. Now comes the questions:

Do these chips have cold boot issues? Do you have to be within a certain temperature to bootup on phase?

    Regards,
    Dom

    UPDATE*
    OK,
Finally got it to start running right again.
Raised NB to 1.65 volts, disabled TM2, and raised vcore to 1.700 suicide.

I am currently browsing windows and benching @ 4200 mhz...

    *Latest Update*
Hit just around 4.3 ghz @ 1.62 vcore (evap temps -45*C idle, -39*C load)

All I did was re-apply some thermal paste and reseat the clamshell for a firmer fit. I AM ALSO ON A COMPLETELY SEPERATE PSU FOR THE FIRST TIME. This may be a big factor in my current stability.
    11.9 second superpi 1m ...

Here is some more updates for tonight. I found a 100% stable 24/7 clockspeed 4.14 ghz.. It is completely stable from benchmarking to gaming. I think I found my 24/7 setup fellas. I definitely need more vcore before I can do a 4.8 ghz suicide run. There is just not enough voltage.

I beat my personal 3dmark record. 13,467 marks in 3dm05.
This is with the stock x1900 xt, stock clock/mem speeds.
The processor is @ 4.14 ghz and the ram is at DDR2-920

UPDATE FOR 10:53 PM on Thursday Night:

I am continuing to suicide run the SHAT out of her.
4.32 ghz @ 1.62 vcore. New superpi1m record for me:

UPDATE FELLAS. I must say I am extremely pleases with this little 6600. Almost 4.4Ghz @ 1.62vcore.

Just installed a new thermalright HR chipset cooler and it turns out that my Northbridge has been holding me back BIG TIME!
    New Superpi1m Record for me:

    *UPDATE* 9/27/06

In preparation for a single stage Vapo LS upgrade and LN2 the Board is finished and just got some vmods:
    Vcore, Vdroop, and VMCH:

PS- My Vapo LS has been received by Jinu117 and is currently being beefed up so the primary bench rig is out of commission until I get my Vapo back. I am pumped to say the least.

Jinu is hooking up the Vapo with some extra spice.

You know you can up the vcore past 1.6 and that Vapo won't even have a problem supplying the cooling capacity. Lets see some 4.3ghz PI runs . Nice clocks Dom.

Thanks for the props man. Believe me, I am looking for 90% to 100% overclock but I would be very happy with 4.4 ghz..

However, I am having issues right now. Over 4 ghz, the mobo will only allow me to boot at 10*C and below. Anything over 10* on startup and it goes right to the Asus "overclocking failed" notification. This is essentially the only problem of the night otherwise I would be way into the 4's now..

Sorry for the lack of information guys:

    Asus P5B-Deluxe Mobo (no mods)
Conroe E6600 boxed retail processor "B2"
    GSkill HZ DDR2-800 2 gig

CPU temps at 1.7volts = -25.5*C bios listed.
Evaporator temps at 1.7 volts = -41*C vapo listed.

I guess its time to update my sig? lol

    New issue has arisen:

The computer just reboots itself on the xp desktop after 5 minutes or so. Seeing that I tested my gskills to over DDR2-1066 @ 4-4-4-10, I am narrowing it down to a few things, hopefully with your help I can figure this out:

    1. Southbridge Voltage
    2. Actual Vcore being undervolted and supplying enough voltage. 1.7 in bios reads 1.62 actual.
    3. Maybe I need to buy a second power supply to continuously feed strong power to the vapo? (I am using an x1900xt and conroe @ 4ghz, so that wattage may not be strong enough on the 12 volt.)

    Any help would be appreciated?

Also, do you have any mods done.

    Thanks.
