    7300GT SLi results

I had the possibility to play around with 3 Palit/Xpertvision 7300GT 2ns Ram DDR3 cards yesterday and those are the results.
I know they are not that great, but they are not modded yet.
Thats 01 and 03 class record, but nowhere near Stilt's 05 score.
A big thank to Big_Sam for the great drivers.

Very nice scoring Matches the top score for the 7600GS

When you say the memory is 777Mhz is that effective or actual, ie 2ns memory is 500/1000 normally so either you have a massive overclock or an underclock. I cannot work out which. Probably the overclock ?

Also you say Single 1GB RAM for the motherboard, does this mean 2 x 512 ?

Are the 85's better than the 84 drivers ?

These 7300GT cards are turning out to be like the old 6600GT, seem to be great to bench......

    1620Mhz.
One of my cards has "bad" ram and only does 777Mhz, so I am limited to 592/1554 for 24/7 use, which is still quite good for a 500/1000 card

    Edit: Just say zakelwe's post.
With 777Mhz I mean real Mhz, 1554Mhz "optimal".
I am using a single 1024MB stick. Trying to get another stick, but cant find them in Europe :/

I am using the 85.96 mod drivers by Big_Sam, because there are no "official2 SLi drivers for Intel chipsets out yet.
They are not only good for benching. I have been playing Call of Duty 2 and Serious Sam2 in 1024*768 everything set to max and it ran almost perfect with a single crd. In SLi it couldnt be any better.
I have had a 2700Mhz Opteron 165 and a 7800GT @ 481/1101 before and the 7300GT SLi setup feels at least as fast as that config.

More pictures of te card and more screenshots can be found on this german oc forum:

I will upload more sreenshots tomorrow.

Considering I'll be air cooled looks like the competition might be too tough for me. I've got some of those Galaxies on order with the nice Zalmann heatsinks so at least they should be good on air.

Fr3ak has set a good benchmark on 2001 , team MXS and Big Sam on the others plus some guy called massman on 06.

If I can get Dr Jay to buy a couple I think we might be ready to rumble ....

Jay, you gonna bite ? I bet he's too busy frapping around with X1600 at the moment I fear ...

I cant believe it goes so high with C2D
7300GT in sli is really effective ... at least in 3Dmark, could you try some quake4, fear or something if the SLI can perform that good also in games?

BTW, thse mems are insane, holy clocks for 2ns binned
Sometimes a good slap in the face is all you need

Well I dont have Quake 4 and I dont own Fear eitehr :/
I have Call of Duty 2 nd Serious Sam 2. Dunno if there is a timedemo or something similar, but those games are performing damn nice with SLi. Even with single card, they performed better than I imagined. Only a few slowdowns every now and then.

Those are all the 3D Mark benches:

I ran Aquamark with 3600mhz and got 151k. Dunno if thats good or not.

    I got 91k at 550/805 with a x2 @ 220x10, so it's quite good, but it could better.

Excellent scoring Fr3ak ... so close to 60k. You really really need to go out and buy that other stick of RAM, I'm sure you are being held back by a lot.

Finally you did real big scores Fr3ak, congrats!

I'm still testing pair of Palit 7300GT Sonic 256Mb on Opteron and crappy unmodded Asus A8N-SLI SE (chipset of my DFI board damaged by water-condensation now so I can use PCI-E slots only in 8x/2x-mode). On A8N-SLI SE I got the same scores with SLI-bridge and without SLI-bridge, don't know WTF... Tried different drivers, SLI-bridge directions, swapping the cards in mobo slots... nothing changed :-(

    Currently at 12277 in 3DM05 and 5761 in 3DM06.

Doh, it was way too early in the morning last nightm so forgot something I was gonna menation.
Thnaks a lot to S_A_V and Big_Sam. Wouldnt have found the right pins for the vmods without them.

I am sure another stick of ram will help me a bit, but they aint available anywhere in Europe, so I have to order one from Newegg. They were 120$ a while ago and now they are at 140$ :/
I guess they wont be cheaper than that for quite some time.

Maybe S_A_V you are limited by that 2x slot.
The 01 score isnt final yet. I was able to bench the low benches at 900Mhz with both cards, but I had to decreaseclocks a lot. I wasnt able to bench at the max speed I figuered out days ago for some reason.
But before I up the volts a lot more, I need better cooling. I finally decided to complete my watercooling and get 2 waterblocks for the vid cards. They are kinda expensive, but then again I will be able to use them with furter cards as well, so its a useful investment I guess.
My goal is to run 1ghz core, no matter what.
For daily use 1.36V and 800/800 in SLi sint a prob. AS its 7600GT default voltage, it doesnt even hurt at all.
Overall I am really more than impressed by those cards. I didnt think they would be that fast considering they only cost 80€ a piece.
