X1950xtx and the results are...

Ive got mixed thoughts about this one. I wonder how well the R600 will do? Will we see another ATI trick of the X1800xt then 3 months later comes the X1900xtx. In other words if they release x1950xtx in the next 3 weeks, are we going to see R600 by January 2007 with a huge bump in performance in DX9 games? Hard to say but it sure does look like a repeat of last year to me.

I personally believe that the ram timing is a bit loose. If wiz is able to tighten it up a bit with a good ATT update we might see better results at stock settings. Although you might need to wc both gpu and ram, IMO.



If I could buy this for my x1900xtx it would make OC the ram much easier for me. Glue on Ramsinks don't work for me.




If you look at the chart you are pay $499 for a 450MHz bump in mem. It's the exact same thing. I smell a X1800xt all over again
