X1950XTX 16k in 05 with stock air cooler

Early testing with X1950XTX with everything on air. Tower 120 on the 6700.

The current oc-tools is limiting the memclock, 1143MHz is max.

Wow, spanks my card pretty bad, I don't think those clocks would work for stable gaming though. If they are I would be tempted to sell my card for 200 and pick up a 1950 for 200 more I would have the card on water so maybe...

Will be interesting to see what the GDDR4 chips can do with added voltage and cooling.

Oh I almost forgot, one other thing you will like:

    No Coldbug

Don't mind the clocks, waiting for the new ATItool before maxing it out.

Because the oc-tool algorithm for the mem losens the timings badly There are people working to solve the problem. Still there is a nice gain VS a aircooled X1900XTX.

well..... as i know.... G80 is much stronger than x1950 for now....
also... if 7950GX2 counts as one card.... it is better than x1950 too...

hey... but DI / LN2 on X1950 and not for 7950 lol

btw. i feel 3.9G C2D should hold up to 15000 3Dmak06 and about 30000 3Dmark05.... damn we need X1950 CF or Q-SLi heheheh

^^Sorry but you are incorrect the 7950 does have 2 cards and uses 2 cores. I am not sure where you are basing your information from but its simply not correct. ATI has not followed suit on a dual core solution yet (bringing it to market). It's not simply better then 1950 its only a dual GPU that's better. If you want to make a comparison you have to look at the efficiency between the 2. To be honest if the 1950xtx does keep pace with a dual GPU 7950 its obvious that the x1950xtx is more efficient.

I will, be back later with the results. I will also try the 6.8 in 05 instead of the early driver I used. 6.8 has some perf increase in it. Wanna brake 16k all on air

heheh yeah 2 core but use pci-e slot so i count it as one card. to me i don't care it is 2 core 4 core, as long as it gives better score.. that is what important to me. x1950 is targeting at the high end place right? if can't beats 7950 then that is bad..... as i know R600 is delay also.

but good thing is x1950 can do DI / LN2 and ram can do much higher with voltage pump in heheee(kinc show us 2.3v come on i can't wait to see 1300 / 2600 hehe)

no so more largely differentiated to a overclocked X1900XTX
    core duo yonah @3.1ghz and a 1900xtx 750/850 @7.1k you have 7.5k with this c2d and a X1950 ~400points

That is not impossible but there is no oc tool that can set over 1143MHz atm. Over 1143 the performence drops to about 10fps.

Looks like a fun card to bench with a nice jump over X1900, in CF these cards are gonna score big. The missing coldbug is worth every penny.

Your not getting me. The voltage is at 1.9V for 1143MHz. I could set 2.48V but the problem is in the algorithm for the clock, the clockgen gets "corrupted" over 1143MHz.
