read this: http://theinquirer.net/default.aspx?article=32818
this explains why going from B1 to B2
Sounds good
Does anybody have any more info on the B3 step?
as i read this specification update there's no errata B1 has and B2 doesn't.
and no mention of B3 at intels site
On the ES side there is! Along with a fullyer newer possible stepping named Stepping 7 B3
I'll be seeing an Intel rep maybe this week when i haed up to Swindon to the main Uk intel site to sort out a big problem i have with a X6800!
I bought an X6800 from the egg just on Friday, and its pack date is 7/11, and its a B2.You sure about this Dumo?
could explain why so many B2/B1 cpus are being sold recently hehe.. but if it's true probably take a while to get into the distribution system i would think
