    Anyone got a hold on X6800 B3?

    Its August packing date, probly shipped from any major etailer in the past couple days. If do please post result

    im looking at a brand new still in box x6800 i can read the ihs from the outside of the box... i have no motherboard yet... is there a way i can tell if its a b3???

    nvr mind found the intel web site and its a b2... i know this is been ask before but i cant find it ... anyone know what the difference will be between steppings or is it all guess work at this point?

    as i read this specification update there's no errata B1 has and B2 doesn't.
    and no mention of B3 at intels site

    On the ES side there is! Along with a fullyer newer possible stepping named Stepping 7 B3

    I'll be seeing an Intel rep maybe this week when i haed up to Swindon to the main Uk intel site to sort out a big problem i have with a X6800!

    I bought an X6800 from the egg just on Friday, and its pack date is 7/11, and its a B2. You sure about this Dumo?

    could explain why so many B2/B1 cpus are being sold recently hehe.. but if it's true probably take a while to get into the distribution system i would think

    I have the pack date 8/6 tomorrow morning
    I am testing a box L624a609(post @ sale section), 1.56v 4g air cooling 1m also do 8m
    32m probably 1.585v

    I'm @ Intel now in Swindon with my rig to show them my problem with a X6800!

    She will run and post and everything in bios. How ever anyhting eles doesn;t work! That Linux, Windows 98, Xp, Vista, and a lot more.

    I've used 5 differnt HD's, 3 differnt bord, 7 types of RAM.

    The stepping i have is the latter Stepping 6 B2. I have just seene the new stuff and stepping are all over tut shot!

    I'm also getitng my rev 305's today and showing them so mods on my 304 that are needed big time!

    I'm going to the lab now to speak with a tec and find out about the cmos and oc debug and mfg jump! I seen there board just and it has them on so a word is needed!

    Weathe ri cna get pics i duno but i hope to get answers and new chip for my very random one!

    Nope!!!

    Rev 305 is a better board I duno why but i just hit 4ghz on air with my ES E6700 that i borught with me!

    Odd, off to try some other shizzle
