There is a sticky dedicated to C2D overclocking results. Why did you make this thread? Do we really need a thread for all models?

I think it's easier having one thread for one CPU, as it is a lot easier for searching results of a certain CPU...

My E 6400 is at 3400MHz (8x425) so far, on my P5WDH, vMCH = 1.6Volt, vCORE = 1.43Volt (CPU-Z), all other settings on "Auto"...so, it's just the beginning, it is rock solid at that speed, I will try higher frequencies now...

I'm starting to notice something here... all the best overclocks are being done on asus boards. I'm wondering if it's actually the chip at all, or if it's the board not wanting to go higher.

I have to remove my motherboard everytime I want to do that so it's a bit tedious. I did disable the Qfan settings and the fan is spinning @ max and knocked it down to about 62 load so not bad but still a little high for my liking. Using a Lian Li V1000 II Plus so there's no real fan blowing over the motherboard, just the CPU fan blowing air out the 120mm exhaust and I have a 120mm exhaust near the motherboard, and an intake in the front but it's in front of the hard drives.
