    E6300 at 3.5GHz on water!!!!

    im like

at vr-zone a user bought a E6300 and got it to 3.5GHz with a 500MHz FSB with no mods on the mobo

Well well I'm very impressed! You don't need super cooling and super voltage modding skills to do some super high Front Side Bus Speed on the Core 2 Duo! Just takes the right chip and the right board to do it. Our Forum Member clon22 proves that to us. He just bought an Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 and hits 501MHz FSB easily on his Gigabyte 965P-DQ6!!

    Vcore: 1.49~1.51v _3.5ghz (500~508 x 7)

    Super Pi 32m

500 FSB is great, but it's not possible to boot with this FSB, right? I believe most people are looking for a 24/7 OC board and so far the Gigabyte P965 models have reached max 460~ FSB.

So this should mean that 965 can be o\c more than 975, shouldn't it? Or\And that Gigabyte finaly became producing good o\c mobo's.

I think the 965 chipset boards will start to show pretty good overclock results. The reason the Gigabyte boards are getting popular here is because that's about the only 965 board anyone has tried. The Abit AB9 Pro especially and possibly the Asus P5B Deluxe should show good results as well. I'm going to test out the AB9 Pro this next week.
