    no they shouldnt!!

I'm using a MSI NF550 AM2 board with passive chipset cooling, and unless i shove a fan RIGHT OVER IT then i can't clock past 240mhz HTT. With a nice 120mm fan over it, the skies the limit.

So personally, i am ecstatic that at least two companies are retaining common sense for us enthusiasts and keeping the actively cooled chipset fan.

Also, looks like the RD580 has a new fan, hopefully improved?

    Lastly...release dates?

if you look better, you`ll see that there are 5 s-ata, there 3 more black s-ata ports on the left bottom corner of the board.

    Question:

Does anyone have any vital information as to when the DFI motherboards will be available?

Not for sure but they may have some 590 sample boards later next week when all the DFI people get back from Taipei. I would guess they would launch it one week or so after that.

Hmm okay. That's not a very long wait I suppose

I'll pick a MSI board in the meantime...

Look at the DFI's Lanparty CPU PWM, it looks VERY WEIRD !! What kind of system do they use because they aren't using normal FET's It says it's Digital PWM

You can see 3 black ports next to the floppy connector, these are most likely the double type right angle connectors because if you read the description sheet it says 6 SATA plus 2 SATA (with 3132 chip)

From that CF board, it looks like they used the Evercool Chipset coolers (VC-RE - but without LED's). Only question now is, why the heck didn't they use that on the 590 board also?

EWWWW, the DFI Infinity 975x looks like , at least make it black :/

And I hate heatpipes, they don't work with water cooling.
