Things have gotten a bit more serious now, and stability is not my only problem. When I perform a cold boot when the machine has been sitting idle for an extended period of time (1+ hour(s)), I get an error on post. The beep code is 1 long 3 short which is an extended memory error. 1-3 resets using the reset button usually fix it, it boots up fine and runs fine. I can then restart after that with no post error issues again until my machine is off for a while and then powered back up.
Obviously I could just never turn it off, but that is not practical. I have run memtest on the memory for 5+ hours several times at several speeds (240, 250, 260) and never has it come back with an error, so I am at a loss as to why I am getting this post error whenever I turn it on from a cold state. Anyone else have this problem? Is it a timings issue? The PSU has been essentially ruled out as a cause because all rails were tested and are solid.
Any advice? Have you guys over there at G.SKILL gotten a hold of one of these boards to play with yet?
