    Smart move for AMD...
No need to bring out the big guns if Intel can't even meet/exceed AMD's offering. This will be a LONG year for Intel. Intel won't have much of a chance 'til Tejas!!

it's a chess match between AMD and Intel really. both companies are waiting for the first move, i think the market will dictate the progress between the two companies. if the A64 sells really well , Intel will do something. if A64 doesn't, AMD will do something. but one things for certain, Intel is definitely waiting for AMD next move.

224 marks from matching opp. I did notice Macci's lobby high details went down that run but his car chase high details went up. Happens to me on a run per run basis and I just keep running and rebooting and hope for a lucky run. I think Macci is maxed out unless he can lower the multi to 17x and raise the fsb a bit more. as for ln2 thats a good idea but very risky in terms of destroying hardware and hes got a champ cpu and card that could be used in the future

    P4EE VS FX-51
    $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is the king

I think 18*252 is a bad thing, 14*324 in 5:4 would be better (this multiplier is possible??)

1:1 mode on ASUS ain't a bad thing
1:1 mode gives higher (unbuffered)bandwidht than 5:4 at same RAM MHz on this board.
The only bad thing about fast 1:1 mode is that it wont lock AGP/PCI. So I'm running pretty high AGP/PCI at 252.

    I have a P4P800 tweaked and modded with a P4C800 bios (it's better than a P4C800 now) and a P4C800-dx, in 5:4 it gives higher bandwidth.
    P4C800 = 271.5 in dual 1:1 5-2-2-2 : 6663/6658
    P4P800 tweaked = 271.5 in dual 1:1 5-2-2-2 : 6776/6789

u can always test in 5:4...

I didn't realize that the AGP/PCI wasn't locked when running 1:1 on the memory....That might explain why I can't post @ 1:1 past 259fsb with my Mushkin PC3500 with tight timings..Are you using the 1014 bios? Would clockgen correct this...I need to check this out!

What did you mean? Could you explain? I use P4P for quite a long time, i have great board capable of 340FSB and 325 3:2 100% 3dmarkable, so just don't wanna switch to some canterwood (which could possibly limit fsb OC). But AFAIK P4P still worse than P4C in performance and looks like this is my last problem with system speed...

Congrats! *whisper* You bastard */whisper* Got 3.6EE while i'm sitting with poor 3.4

Thats buffered bandwidth (and dang impressive for 1:1 mind you!) which means pretty much nothing when you compare 5:4 vs 1:1
Run unbuffered sandra at those clocks (should be over 4000MB/s!) and then try to beat it in 5:4 mode
Also try 3DMark2001 lobby hi and try the same thing

Hobocrow, AGP/PCI is only unlocked when you post at 200FSB on P4C800. At 201MHz bootup speed the AGP/PCI lock works nicely with 1:1 ram.

ALT-F13, I dont really know what chip this is (most likely 3.2EE). It defaults to 2.4GHz on P4C800 and has multipliers up to 28x.
There is no text printed on CPU HS !?

    Defaulting to 2400 (if 18*133) sound like a 3.6EE

    its default 12x200.
And the OC potential would suggest a 3.2G chip too (aircooled it wont go much above 3.6GHz at default volts)

    reboot

    afudos /iP4C800.rom /n

    it's not me :

    cpulloverclock -

The "after" screenshot only says PAT is "partially enabled"?

But you got a 400mb boost which is exactly what PAT does so it has to be fully enabled...

I have done the PAT trick on my P4P800 D and it gives about 300-400mb/s too but im locked into 1:1. However the board is unstable past 212fsb - does this mean my board will be unstable with the P4C800 BIOS which uses PAT? I don't want to be stuck with an unstable board.

I know the reason why its 865 is because it failed as 875. I got mine this summer, how old is yours?
