Hey Vince you are way in the future with that 98000

    How about power consumption ?
LOL...can you tell how tired I was when I typed that?

I figured out the mods 2 days ago with some help from gautum. Not too difficult as it uses the same volterra digital vreg controller as the ATI 2900-3870x2. The Ln2 results are using approx 1.35v gpu

It's amazing man . This container can easily handle this card and the mounting scheme is PERFECT. It really is alot less headache than mounting up two units per card.

difficult to insulate that gx2?? look like it has to have the right thickness of the insulation together with the tube.
Not at all difficult. So easy. Guide will be posted today in tek thread and units will start shipping later this week.
You and stoolman are the most patient guys in the world, but I told you it would be worth the wait for the slims. You guys are the first to recieve them.
Bascially, these new 4.0 gpu units ARENT't exclusive to just this card . They are my new universal slims which work with ALL the video cards 7900gtx-800ultra-8800gts-8800gtx-2900xt-3870-3870x2-9800gtx and last but not least 9800gx2 .

Cuz I was too lazy to install the new one .
NVIDIA also release new bios for the 790i motherboard with some nice performance improvements incuding higher vdimm, internal spp latency adjustments (I think similar to performance levels) which impact performance using very high FSB/DDR3 speeds. They also raised the FSB limit on the motherboard quite a bit supposedly.
Bios I use for these runs was buggy beta pre-release bios so it's only going to get better and better

COMPLETELY stock clocks on both cpu/gpu 1333x9 and stock card clocks it scores about 17k 2006

With whole system still stock cooled and quad at 450x9=4050mhz / card at STOCK clocks of 600/1500/1000, it scores about 21.9k 2006.

hopefully there isn't the same issue with these gx2 card in quad sli as there was with the 7950gx2 where the gain was like 2%.

dude, one 9800gx2 can do about 30k in 3dmark06.. it takes two 3870x2 in crossfireX to do about 32k... thats fudging lol!

ATI will get RAPED when Vince put up two 9800gx2's in SLI (well actually quad sli :P)

    I love nvidia...

Oh, btw why do you lower the CPU overclock a bit in 3dm06? u did almost 6ghz in 2001 so why not in 06? whats up with that?

Ps, jAkUp are you rich or what?

Awesome results k|ngp|n! I just ordered my EVGA 9800GX2 from Newegg this morning. What most impresses me about this particular card (aside from LN2 ) is that you managed to achieve a 754MHz core and 1933MHz shaders. May I ask exactly how you got these speeds? Was there any additional cooling in the processes such as fans or a specific room temp, or do you suppose that 754/1933/1145 will be achievable on all of these cards? I would like very much to be able to obtain these clocks - my specs are in my sig for reference. Looking forward to your insight. Thanks in advance.

So because its more demanding he needs to lower the clock a bit? or else it will be unstable and the system will fail? That's the case?
