I Think I Just saw The Lord

I think I saw the Lord, and he was carrying an Athlon XP2700 with L12 cut 3rd bridge....muttering something about Praeterio outfoxing someone.

I decided to take the plunge...this just wasn't any fun staying with a locked 13x XP2700. I Cut the L12 3rd bridge, and used the wire in the socket trick...and was stable for an hour at 211x10 with A7N8X before I wussed out. I posted it all here, but have to upload the images after I get some sleep.

I have to install 3dMark....will get it later today. The only one I can find at first glance is a Pro version they are charging you for at: http://www.futuremark.com/community/ ??? Didnt it used to be free? I have not gone to madonion in a long time, and this is where it routes you to now.

Edit: I'm still confused...there is the pro version they are charging for, 3DMark2001SE (Build 330), and PC Mark.

I don't see that these free ones support DX-9.0 that I'm using....nor the pro versions for that matter.....what's a mother to do?

Also, while I'm looking at all this is this Catalyst 3.0 drivers the best for the ati radeon 9700 pro?

OK Rick, I ran it at 198x11 and got a 3dMark2001SE score of 16,315 but I don't know what that means, and don't know how to OC the Radeon yet.

But then how come people running DirectX 8.1 and Abit KX7333 with radeon 9700 get a score of 16,434 at http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=5065369

From what I have read it's all about tweaking the system and Im sure overclocking your vid card would help too.

Nice scores! That should be plenty enough to run 1942 with all the eye candy turned on

(Project 5551909) I just got a 3dMark2001 score of 17,773 with a little Radeon Powerstrip OC'ing (391/341) but it won't let me publish it. Why?

    Without the OC'ing of my Radeon9700 it was only 16,315 at 198x11 5-2-2-2 1gb Corsair XMS3500
